Used 2022 Kia Telluride for Sale nearGrand Rapids, MI

How much does the 2022 Kia Telluride cost?

Prices have softened 14.60% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,163 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Kia Telluride a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Kia Telluride earns a 4.6/5 user rating, and our experts give it an 8.8/10. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10. Owners consistently praise its value, luxurious-feeling features, spacious interior, safety equipment, and smooth ride. In practical terms, that lines up well with a midsize three-row SUV that aims to be family-friendly, desirable, and broadly appealing rather than narrowly specialized. The main trade-offs are the lack of wireless Android Auto and a few build quality issues. Even so, 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which points to solid market availability.

Is the 2022 Kia Telluride reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centered on value, comfort, and the sense that it holds up well over time. On the road, the Telluride’s smooth ride and composed behavior reinforce that impression of everyday dependability. Kia also includes one year of Kia Connect at no charge, which adds ownership convenience. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a few build quality complaints and tech frustrations can show up if you don’t inspect carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Kia Telluride?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free listings are strong but not universal. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, electronics, and trim fit and finish, since owner feedback mentions a few build quality issues. It also makes sense to confirm that the tech and driver-assistance features work as expected, especially if you plan to rely on them daily.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Telluride continues in LX, S, EX, and SX trim, and the cabin is described as attractive and logically laid out. Base versions miss some convenience equipment, while higher trims add more upscale touches and features.
• Powertrain: You get a 291-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is the only engine choice, and the Telluride is described as strong enough for everyday driving and long-distance cruising.
• Safety package: Kia Drive Wise includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and adaptive cruise control with curve speed reduction. Highway Driving Assist is standard, and some trims add Blind-Spot View Monitor.
• Infotainment: Every Telluride gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation and voice recognition. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not available with this setup, and the LX does not get the standard wireless charging pad.
• Fuel efficiency: The Telluride returned 21.1 mpg in testing, and the EPA figure is 23 mpg with front-wheel drive.

Which 2022 Kia Telluride trim should I buy?

The 2022 Kia Telluride is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, S, EX, and SX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it still gets the core Telluride formula: strong value, a roomy interior, and standard safety tech. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model.
• S: This is the best-value pick for many shoppers because it adds useful equipment, including a standard wireless smartphone charger, while staying below the upper trims.
• EX: This trim is the middle ground if you want a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the top model.
• SX: This is the most feature-rich version, and it suits you if you want the most premium equipment and available extras.

Kia Drive Wise is standard across the lineup, and Highway Driving Assist comes standard as well.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Kia Telluride?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,163 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.60% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,230, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Kia Telluride's resale value?

The current average of $26,230 sits slightly below last year's $30,715.

That price movement suggests the Telluride has become more accessible on the used market, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, the softer pricing means resale upside may be more limited than it was a year ago, especially if inventory stays healthy. Still, a model with broad appeal and strong demand can hold buyer interest better than many rivals. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Kia Telluride safe?

The 2022 Telluride earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, though it gets four-star ratings for driver and front-passenger frontal-impact protection. It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Kia Drive Wise is the standard driver-assistance suite, and it includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, and adaptive cruise control with curve speed reduction. Highway Driving Assist is also standard, and Safe Exit Assist helps warn occupants about approaching traffic or cyclists when opening a door. The Telluride also gets Smart Cruise Control-Curve for 2022, though the system can be irritating in use. IIHS gives it a Top Safety Pick designation, but it misses the higher award because of headlight performance.

Should I buy a 2022 Kia Telluride or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 adds more standard equipment, including a larger touchscreen and more driver-assistance tech.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $22,766, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $26,230 average.
• It keeps the same strong value and premium-feeling appeal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,658, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $26,230 average.
• It adds minor styling changes, new technologies, and X-Line/X-Pro trims.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, equipment, and broad appeal, the 2022 is the smart default. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the value play; if you want newer styling and added capability flavor, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
