How much does the 2022 Kia Stinger cost?

There are 461 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2022 Kia Stinger a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Kia Stinger earns a 4.9/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its luxurious feel, strong performance, comfortable interior, and great handling. The overview also frames it as a performance sedan that blends rear-wheel-drive dynamics with upscale design, which fits the way it’s positioned for buyers who want style and driving enjoyment without giving up value.

The main trade-offs are the cramped back seat and sluggish touchscreen response, and the expert review also notes that braking feel can be less convincing than you might expect in a performance-oriented model. Even so, the market still shows 31.7% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Kia Stinger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels luxurious, fast, technologically advanced, and comfortable, while also highlighting strong handling. That combination usually matters to used buyers because it suggests the car delivers the kind of ownership experience people remember positively over time.

The expert review also emphasizes that the Stinger’s driving manners have improved since launch and that most of the early growing pains are gone. Kia’s added standard features and broader safety equipment help reinforce the sense that this is a more mature, well-rounded version of the car.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic dependability and more about making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and hasn’t been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Kia Stinger?

At 70.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been driven hard or modified. Pay close attention to brake condition, tire wear, interior wear, and whether all electronics and driver-assistance features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GT-Line gets a different lighting setup and 18-inch wheels, while GT models add more LEDs and 19-inch alloys. GT2 models stand out further with Nappa leather, a head-up display, and a 360-degree surround view, so the lower trims are the ones where you’ll feel the biggest feature gaps.
• Powertrain: The base engine is a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 300 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. GT models use a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 with 368 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque, and all models include paddle shifters.
• Safety package: Kia’s Drive Wise suite includes lane keep assist, lane departure warning, high-beam assist, blind-spot monitoring plus collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic alert plus collision avoidance, forward-collision avoidance with pedestrian/cyclist detection and junction-turning assist, navigation-based adaptive cruise control, lane follow assist, safe exit warning, and highway driving assist. Forward parking assist, a head-up display, and a 360-degree surround view remain GT2-only.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone charging, navigation with Uvo link, Uvo eServices remote commands, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, multi-device Bluetooth, and split-screen functionality. GT2 models add a larger TFT display and a head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The GT-Line RWD returns 22 mpg city and 32 mpg highway, while AWD variants are rated at 21 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. GT models are rated at 18 mpg city and 25 mpg highway for RWD, or 17 mpg city and 24 mpg highway for AWD.

Which 2022 Kia Stinger trim should I buy?

The 2022 Kia Stinger is offered in 3 trim levels: GT-Line, GT1, GT2.

Here's the short version:

• GT-Line: This is the best-value choice if you want the Stinger’s core appeal at the lowest entry point. You still get the new 2.5-liter turbo-four, the 10.25-inch infotainment screen, and the expanded safety suite, so it covers the essentials well.
• GT1: This trim is the middle ground if you want the stronger V6 experience and more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the top model. It’s the trim that makes the Stinger feel more like a premium performance sedan while staying more value-oriented than the GT2.
• GT2: This is the pick if you want the most complete Stinger, with Nappa leather, the head-up display, the 360-degree surround view, and the upgraded audio system. It’s the most fully equipped version, but you’ll pay for that extra content.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, but GT2 still gets the most advanced convenience and visibility features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Kia Stinger?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 461 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.91% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,684, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Kia Stinger's resale value?

The current average of $28,454 sits slightly below last year's $29,008.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point. For a future seller, that also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car is equipped.

Because the Stinger has strong owner satisfaction and a clear enthusiast appeal, well-kept examples should continue to draw interest. Cars with desirable equipment and clean history are likely to hold up better than neglected or heavily worn examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Kia Stinger safe?

The 2022 Kia Stinger earns a Top Safety Pick+ from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Kia’s Drive Wise suite is standard and includes lane keep assist, lane departure warning, high-beam assist, blind-spot monitoring plus collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic alert plus collision avoidance, forward-collision avoidance with pedestrian/cyclist detection and junction-turning assist, navigation-based adaptive cruise control, lane follow assist, safe exit warning, and highway driving assist.

There are still a few trim-level gaps to keep in mind: forward parking assist, a head-up display, and a 360-degree surround view remain exclusive to GT2 models. Even so, the standard safety list is broad, and the car’s strong crash-test reputation supports its appeal for used shoppers.

Should I buy a 2022 Kia Stinger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 brings more power from the base engine, updated design touches, and new technology features.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,970, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,454 average.
• It offers a distinctive value-performance-luxury formula with multiple powertrain options.

The bottom line: If you want the better-equipped, more refined version with stronger standard safety and updated tech, the 2022 is the smarter target. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 can still make sense, especially if you find one in strong condition and with the equipment you want.
