Used 2022 Kia Seltos for Sale nearTulsa, OK

How much does the 2022 Kia Seltos cost?

Prices have softened 9.23% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,457 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2022 Kia Seltos a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Kia Seltos earns a 4.83/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, smooth ride, and impressive fuel economy, and they also like the advanced features and handling. In practical terms, that lines up well with a small crossover that aims to give you more space and usefulness than many rivals.

The trade-offs are clear: the transmission can be irritating, the interior materials feel cheap, and road noise is a recurring complaint. Even so, the Seltos makes sense if you want a small SUV with a roomy feel, easy-to-use technology, and a strong warranty.

Good and great deals account for 35.8% of listings, which suggests there’s still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Kia Seltos reliable?

Owners rate it 4.83/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise for comfort, fuel economy, and the kind of day-to-day usability that helps a vehicle age well. The expert notes also reinforce that impression by highlighting the Seltos’ great warranty and its ability to deliver the fuel economy shown on the window sticker.

That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to the transmission behavior and cabin noise, since those are the kinds of issues that can shape long-term satisfaction even when the vehicle is otherwise solid.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Kia Seltos?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free listings are strong but not universal. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the transmission, suspension feel, and interior condition, since those are the areas most likely to affect your ownership experience. It also makes sense to confirm which safety and infotainment features are actually installed, because equipment varies by trim.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX, S, EX, Nightfall Edition, and SX each bring different equipment levels, and the base setup leaves out some of the more desirable convenience and safety upgrades. The Nightfall Edition adds a more distinctive look and a turbocharged powertrain, while the SX is the most feature-rich choice.
• Powertrain: The LX, S, and EX use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a CVT, while the Nightfall Edition and SX get a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The turbo setup is more satisfying and more engaging, but the CVT is the simpler choice.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision avoidance, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and Rear Occupant Alert. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are on the EX and optional on the S, while adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, Highway Driving Assist, and Safe Exit Assist are reserved for the SX.
• Infotainment: The available 10.25-inch touchscreen adds Bluetooth for two devices, navigation, connected services, satellite radio, and a six-speaker stereo. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, but the larger system uses a wired connection; the standard 8-inch system on the LX and S offers wireless smartphone connectivity.
• Fuel efficiency: The Nightfall Edition returned 27 mpg in combined driving, matching its official EPA rating.

Which 2022 Kia Seltos trim should I buy?

The 2022 Kia Seltos is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, S, EX, Nightfall Edition, and SX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the core Seltos formula with the base engine, standard AWD, and the essentials. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model, but you’ll miss out on some of the more appealing tech and safety upgrades.
• S: This trim is the best-value pick if you want a lower price without giving up too much. It can be had with FWD or AWD, and it’s the trim where the larger touchscreen becomes available as an option.
• EX: This is the smart step-up if you want more everyday convenience and a stronger safety package. It adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, and it also gets the larger touchscreen standard.
• Nightfall Edition: This is the style-and-turbo choice. You get the more powerful turbocharged engine, the dual-clutch transmission, and the blacked-out appearance treatment, so it suits you if you want more personality and stronger acceleration.
• SX: This is the most fully equipped version, with the turbo powertrain plus the most advanced driver-assistance features and the premium audio setup. It’s the right choice if you want the most content and don’t mind paying for it.

For safety, the SX is the only trim that gets adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, Highway Driving Assist, and Safe Exit Assist.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Kia Seltos?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,457 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.23% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,740, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Kia Seltos's resale value?

The current average of $17,740 sits slightly below last year's $19,543.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already moved through some of its early depreciation, which can help future resale stability if demand stays steady. For you as a seller, the current market shows that buyers are still interested, but they’re also price-sensitive and comparing listings closely.

If you keep the vehicle in clean condition and maintain it well, you’ll be in a better position to stand out when it’s time to sell. Strong equipment, accident-free history, and a desirable trim can all help support your asking price.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Kia Seltos safe?

The 2022 Kia Seltos earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS on the SX trim, and it earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Kia equips the Seltos with forward-collision avoidance, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and Rear Occupant Alert. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on the EX and optional on the S, while adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, Highway Driving Assist, and Safe Exit Assist are reserved for the SX.

The main caveat is that only the SX qualifies for the IIHS honor, because other versions fall short on headlight performance. That means trim choice matters if safety recognition is a priority for you.

Should I buy a 2022 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Kia expanded driver-assist and infotainment availability across more trims for this year.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $15,899, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $17,740 average.
• It offers a high-quality cabin with refined driving dynamics and plenty of space.

The 2022 is the better pick if you want the newer-year updates, broader tech availability, and stronger shopping leverage in today’s market. If your priority is simply spending less, the 2021 is still appealing, especially if you find one in clean condition with the features you want.
