What is the 2022 Jeep Renegade's resale value?

The current average of $18,705 sits slightly below last year's $19,863.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays steady. For a seller, the current trend suggests you should expect value retention to depend more on condition, mileage, and trim appeal than on broad market appreciation. If you keep the vehicle well maintained and present it cleanly, you can still position it competitively when it's time to sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Renegade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $15,912, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $18,705 average.
• It blends everyday practicality with Jeep's off-road character.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and buyer satisfaction, the 2022 is the better starting point. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the smarter value play, especially if you find one with a clean history and strong maintenance records.
