Used 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer for Sale nearAkron, OH

How much does the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer cost?

Prices have softened 16.87% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 796 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the spacious cabin, advanced interior, and family-friendly comfort, and they also call out towing capability as a plus. The model’s premium materials and roomy layout fit buyers who want a luxury SUV that can handle daily family duty.

The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and weak value for money show up in the expert review, and owners also raise reliability concerns. If you want a full-size luxury SUV with strong tech and a high-end feel, this one fits that brief, but you should expect to pay for it at the pump and in overall ownership cost.

The market still shows 43.6% good or great deals, so there are opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels comfortable, spacious, and capable for family use, while also noting concerns about reliability and gas mileage. The expert review also emphasizes the Grand Wagoneer’s quiet cabin and composed air suspension, which supports the sense that it’s built for relaxed long-distance use.

Jeep backs it with a three-year, 36,000-mile limited warranty and a five-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a complex, high-end SUV with heavy fuel use and lots of equipment can become expensive if prior maintenance was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury SUV with a lot of electronics and comfort hardware. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and whether the cabin features and driver-assistance systems work as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Grand Wagoneer launches in Series I, Series II, Series III, and Obsidian trims. The cabin upgrades are a major part of the appeal, with standard Nappa leather, available Palermo leather, 24-way power front seats with memory and massage, heated and ventilated first- and second-row seats, and a heated steering wheel. The higher trims add more luxury content, so the best-value choice is the one that gives you the features you’ll actually use without pushing you into the highest price tier.
• Powertrain: You get a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 with 471 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It also has cylinder deactivation for improved fuel economy, standard four-wheel drive, a two-speed transfer case, an electronic limited-slip differential, and Selec-Terrain drive modes for Auto, Sport, Rock, Snow, and Sand/Mud.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes a 360-degree camera system, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection collision assist, and rear parking sensors. Active Driving Assist adds automated lane centering, but it still requires you to keep your hands on the wheel. Some more advanced driver-assistance features are optional.
• Infotainment: The Grand Wagoneer uses a 12-inch main touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with 3D graphics, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a McIntosh audio system, dual Bluetooth phone pairing, and a 4G-LTE WiFi hotspot that can support up to eight devices. It also uses Uconnect 5 with over-the-air software updates.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA ratings are 13 mpg city, 18 mpg highway, and 15 mpg combined.

Which 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer trim should I buy?

The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is offered in 4 trim levels: Series I, Series II, Series III, and Obsidian.

Here's the short version:

• Series I: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Grand Wagoneer’s core luxury formula, including the big V8, standard 4WD, and the upscale cabin hardware that separates it from more mainstream SUVs. If you want the lowest starting point into the lineup, this is the trim to start with.
• Series II: This is the midlevel version and the one that was tested. It’s the trim to target if you want the strongest balance of equipment and price, since it sits in the middle of the range while still delivering the Grand Wagoneer’s key luxury and tech features.
• Series III: This is the top trim and is aimed at buyers who want the most fully loaded version of the Grand Wagoneer. If you want the most premium experience and don’t mind the price, this is the one to compare against similarly expensive luxury SUVs.
• Obsidian: This trim sits alongside the upper end of the lineup and is the style-forward choice for buyers who want a more distinctive look. It makes sense if appearance matters as much as equipment.

Safety content notes that some advanced driver-assistance features are optional, while Active Driving Assist is available at launch and later hands-free capability was planned.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer?

It’s a buyer-friendly moment if you’re shopping carefully, because pricing has moved down and there’s enough inventory to compare multiple listings.

• Deal availability: 43.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 796 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.87% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $43,764, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer's resale value?

The current average of $43,764 sits slightly below last year's $52,646.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that this model year is currently priced more attractively than it was a year ago, so resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer safe?

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes a 360-degree camera system, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection collision assist, and rear parking sensors. Active Driving Assist adds automated lane centering, but it still requires you to keep your hands on the wheel.

Some more advanced driver-assistance features are optional, including a driver-attention monitor, night vision, traffic-sign recognition, and additional driver-assistance systems. Crash-test ratings were not available yet for this newly launched model.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 43.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 stands out for its powerful V8, upscale cabin, and strong technology package.

The bottom line: If you want the first model year of the Grand Wagoneer and value its combination of luxury, tech, and capability, the 2022 is the right place to start. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the softened market and healthy deal availability make it worth shopping aggressively for a well-kept example rather than paying top dollar for a newer alternative.
