Is the 2022 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary emphasizes that owners find it dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, with positive feedback centered on performance and comfort. That kind of owner confidence matters if you plan to keep the vehicle for the long haul. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained well and checked carefully before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Jeep Cherokee?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report so you can confirm accident status, title history, and service patterns before you go any further. Then prioritize a thorough inspection and test drive, especially if you want to evaluate how the transmission, ride quality, and overall condition feel in real-world use. Focus on signs of wear that could affect long-term ownership, since a clean-looking listing is not the same as a well-maintained one.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough price softness to create opportunities.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,258 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.41% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,134, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $22,134 sits slightly below last year's $24,706.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point if you plan to hold the vehicle for a while. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and maintenance history than on broad market momentum alone. If you buy well and keep the vehicle clean and documented, you give yourself a better chance of limiting depreciation pain later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $18,451, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $22,134 average.
• The 2021 offers a distinctive identity with broad capability and useful technology.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2022 if you want the stronger feature set and a market that still offers decent deal availability. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the better value path, especially if you find one in strong condition and can live with the older model-year setup.
