How much does the 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid cost?

There are 506 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid earns a 4.9/5 user rating, and our experts give it 7.3/10 overall. The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Form and function, and Safety.

You get a strong mix of smooth, quiet rides, impressive fuel economy, and a wealth of high-end features. It also stands out for powerful acceleration and a sense that it delivers good value for the price. On the downside, the tech can be frustrating, and some shoppers may find the styling polarizing.

That makes it a good fit if you want a compact crossover that feels polished, practical, and easy to live with for daily family duties. 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as smooth, quiet, and impressive on fuel economy, and the ownership feedback also points to a trouble-free feel with strong day-to-day dependability. The hybrid powertrain is presented as a compelling, confidence-inspiring setup, and the standard equipment list supports an easy ownership experience.

The Tucson Hybrid also brings a refined suspension and a well-rounded driving character that should help it feel settled over time. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained well and still matches the condition suggested by its history and mileage.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status does not replace a full inspection. Pay close attention to the condition of the tech, the cabin, and the hybrid system, since the model’s value proposition depends on getting the features and driving experience you expect. It also makes sense to compare trims closely, because some equipment differences are meaningful.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Blue trim gets 17-inch wheels, heated front seats, cloth upholstery, an eight-way power driver seat, and a proximity key, while the SEL Convenience adds a 10.25-inch digital driver information display, wireless device charging, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a 10-color ambient lighting kit, a panoramic sunroof, and a hands-free smart tailgate. The Limited adds 64-color ambient lighting, a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, and driver-seat memory.
• Powertrain: The hybrid setup uses a 1.6-liter turbo-four with an electric motor for 226 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, and all Tucson Hybrids get AWD. The six-speed automatic and responsive steering help the hybrid feel quicker and more balanced than the gas model.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, cyclist detection, blind-spot collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, lane-keeping assist, lane-following assist, safe-exit warning, and rear occupant alert. The Limited adds a surround-view monitor, highway-driving assist with adaptive cruise control, navigation, blind-spot view monitor, and remote smart park assist.
• Infotainment: The Blue and SEL Convenience trims use an 8-inch screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while the Limited gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen that requires a wired connection for projection. The larger screen looks good, but the touch-capacitive controls can be frustrating.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA lists the Tucson Hybrid at 37 mpg city, 36 mpg highway, and 37 mpg combined, while the Blue trim is rated at 38 mpg across the board. At the end of testing, the vehicle returned 36.5 mpg.

Which 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is offered in 3 trim levels: Blue, SEL Convenience, Limited.

Here's the short version:

• Blue: This is the best-value choice if you want the hybrid’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get the standard safety suite, heated front seats, cloth upholstery, a power driver seat, and wireless smartphone projection on the smaller screen.
• SEL Convenience: This is the trim to target if you want the best balance of equipment and value. It adds the larger digital driver display, wireless charging, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and a hands-free smart tailgate.
• Limited: This is the pick if you want the most features and the most advanced safety tech. It adds the surround-view monitor, highway-driving assist, blind-spot view monitor, remote smart park assist, ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, but the Limited is the trim that adds the most advanced driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 506 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.09% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,277, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $21,277 sits slightly below last year's $23,149.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may temper what a future seller can expect. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside exposure than someone who paid closer to the earlier average. The current range also shows that well-priced examples still move within a fairly tight band, which can support resale stability if you keep the vehicle in strong condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
