The Honda Insight is a compact hybrid sedan, competing against the Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid, Kia Niro Hybrid, and the Toyota Corolla Hybrid and Prius. For 2022, it gets a downsized lineup. Also standard are blind-spot monitoring and automatic high-beams. The only optional feature is rain-sensing wipers, which come with the Touring trim. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the Insight good crash-safety marks, while the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) a Top Safety Pick+ award for 2021—the agency’s highest rating.
