Is the 2022 Genesis GV80 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Genesis GV80 earns a 5/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a luxury midsize SUV with a distinctive design and a beautifully crafted cabin. The overview points to a sleek exterior, a minimalist dashboard, high-quality materials, and a strong mix of equipment and technology, including a 14-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and available convenience features. If you want something upscale that feels different from the usual premium SUV choices, this model year fits that brief well, though you should pay attention to how each used example is equipped. 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Genesis GV80 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a well-built luxury SUV with substantial standard equipment, including heated and electrically adjustable front seats and a broad safety suite. It also notes that some features are reserved for higher trims or options, so reliability for you as a used buyer may depend partly on how well the specific vehicle was maintained and equipped. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about the concept of the vehicle and more about finding one that was cared for properly and matches your expectations for comfort and features.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Genesis GV80?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report to confirm accident status and look for signs of inconsistent maintenance or prior repairs. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, electronics, and seat comfort, since the overview notes that some features vary by trim and the seats may feel too firm for some drivers. Focus on condition and equipment match first, because the value of a used GV80 depends heavily on how well the individual example was specified and maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Genesis GV80?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 731 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,712, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Genesis GV80's resale value?

The current average of $33,712 sits slightly below last year's $39,743.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that a lower entry price today can reduce depreciation pressure later if the model holds steady from here. Well-equipped examples in strong condition should remain easier to move than poorly maintained ones, especially when buyers are comparing luxury SUVs with similar features.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Genesis GV80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $30,491, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $33,712 average.
• It introduced Genesis’s first SUV with a three-row layout and strong value.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $38,228, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $33,712 average.
• It adds standard all-wheel drive and broader package flexibility.

The bottom line: the 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want a strong mix of price, satisfaction, and available inventory. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play, while the 2023 makes sense if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling setup.
