Is the 2022 Genesis GV80 a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2022 Genesis GV80. It stands out as a luxury midsize SUV with a distinctive, sleek shape, a beautifully crafted cabin, and a minimalist dashboard that gives it a premium feel. You also get a strong mix of equipment and technology, including heated and electrically adjustable front seats, a 14-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and available features like Remote Smart Parking Assist and Road Active Noise Cancellation. For shoppers who want something a little different from the usual premium SUV choices, it offers a compelling blend of style and substance. 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Genesis GV80 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Genesis GV80’s overview points to a well-equipped, thoughtfully finished SUV with standard safety equipment such as 10 airbags, collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane keeping assist, and blind-spot assist. It also emphasizes a solid mix of technology and comfort features, though some equipment is trim-dependent and the seats may feel too firm for some drivers. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose is equipped and maintained the way you expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Genesis GV80?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a full record review. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, seat comfort, and feature operation, since the overview notes that some equipment is reserved for higher trims or options. Focus on overall condition and equipment match, especially if you want the technology and luxury details that make this SUV appealing.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Genesis GV80?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 785 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.98% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,141, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Genesis GV80's resale value?

The current average of $34,232 sits slightly below last year's $41,234.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that means resale value will depend heavily on how well the vehicle is equipped, maintained, and presented when it returns to market. A well-kept example with desirable features should still be easier to move than one with missing equipment or visible wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Genesis GV80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $31,302, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $34,232 average.
• It launched Genesis’s first SUV with strong value and a distinctive identity.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $38,827, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $34,232 average.
• It adds standard all-wheel drive and broader package flexibility.

The bottom line:

The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want the strongest mix of style, equipment, and current pricing. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play, especially if you can live with its older-year tradeoffs and want to spend less upfront.
