Used 2022 Genesis G80 for Sale nearColumbus, OH

Is the 2022 Genesis G80 a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating and 8.33/10 expert rating point to a strong overall package. The 2022 Genesis G80 is a midsize luxury sedan with either a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder or a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6, and it pairs that with a quiet cabin, great ride quality, and premium interior materials. The trade-offs are that the technology can be unintuitive and the design may be polarizing, so this is a better fit if you value comfort and refinement over a simple interface or conservative styling. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety. Good and great deals account for 33.2% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Genesis G80 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2022 Genesis G80 is presented as a well-built luxury sedan with a reputation for quality, and its standard safety and driver-assistance content adds to the sense that it is engineered to be easy to live with. The performance notes also point to a smooth, quiet, controlled ride, which usually matters a lot in day-to-day ownership. Genesis also includes three years/36,000 miles of complimentary maintenance and complimentary service valet, which can help reduce early ownership hassle. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the car’s technology and premium features have been maintained properly, since those systems are central to the G80 experience.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Genesis G80?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.5% — always verify the vehicle history report. You should still check for prior damage, confirm that the electronics and driver-assistance features work correctly, and pay close attention to cabin condition because the G80’s appeal depends heavily on its premium materials and tech. A thorough test drive should include the infotainment system, since the interface is described as finicky and distracting. If you’re shopping a higher-spec example, make sure the added luxury equipment is functioning as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 2.5T gives you the core luxury-sedan experience, while the Advanced and Prestige versions add more equipment; the 3.5T Sport and Sport Prestige move you into the V6 lineup with standard all-wheel drive and more performance-oriented content. The best-value choice is the trim that gives you the features you actually want without forcing you into the most expensive package.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a 300-horsepower 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and a 375-horsepower 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6. Both use direct gasoline injection and require premium fuel, and the V6 adds stronger acceleration along with electronically controlled suspension.
• Safety package: The G80 includes a full suite of standard driver aids, including adaptive cruise control, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist with road edge detection, lane-following assist, and driver attention warning. Those systems are standard across the lineup.
• Infotainment: The cabin centers on a 14.5-inch high-definition display, with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Genesis Connected Services standard. A wireless charging pad is optional on 2.5T models and standard on 3.5T models, and the larger digital cluster and head-up display are available on 3.5T models.
• Fuel efficiency: Four-cylinder models are rated at 23 mpg city/32 mpg highway/26 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive and 22 mpg city/30 mpg highway/25 mpg combined with all-wheel drive. V6 models are rated at 17 mpg city/26 mpg highway/20 mpg combined.

Which 2022 Genesis G80 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Genesis G80 is offered in 6 trim levels: 2.5T RWD, 2.5T AWD, 2.5T Advanced, 2.5T Prestige, 3.5T Sport, and 3.5T Sport Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5T RWD: This is the entry point if you want the G80’s quiet cabin, premium materials, and standard safety content at the lowest price. It makes the most sense if you want the luxury experience without paying for extra power or all-wheel drive.
• 2.5T AWD: Choose this if you want the same core package as the base model but with added traction. It is the better pick if you live where weather or road conditions make all-wheel drive worthwhile.
• 2.5T Advanced: This is the value-focused upgrade if you want more equipment without jumping all the way to the top of the range. It is the trim to watch if you want a more complete luxury feel while staying with the four-cylinder.
• 2.5T Prestige: This is the most upscale four-cylinder choice, and it is the right fit if you want the richer cabin and feature content without moving to the V6. It is the best-value trim if your priority is luxury equipment rather than maximum performance.
• 3.5T Sport: This is the step up for buyers who want the stronger V6 and standard all-wheel drive. It suits you if you care more about acceleration and a more forceful driving feel than about keeping the purchase price down.
• 3.5T Sport Prestige: This is the top choice if you want the most fully equipped G80 experience, including the V6’s stronger performance and the richest feature set. It is the trim to buy if you want the flagship feel and are willing to pay for it.

All G80 safety features and driver-assistance systems are standard on every trim.

Should I buy a 2022 Genesis G80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It builds on the redesigned G80’s upscale styling, premium cabin, and available advanced tech.

Consider the 2021 if:

• The redesign introduced a distinctive luxury look and premium cabin feel.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger mix of market availability, safety, and owner satisfaction, the 2022 is the cleaner target. If you are price-sensitive and find a well-kept 2021 with the right equipment, that earlier redesign can still deliver the core G80 appeal for less.
