Used 2022 Genesis G80 for Sale nearAtlanta, GA

Is the 2022 Genesis G80 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Genesis G80 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

That lines up with what you get in the car itself: a quiet cabin, great ride quality, and premium interior materials, all wrapped in a midsize luxury sedan that aims to feel polished and upscale. It also gives you a choice of a turbocharged four-cylinder or a twin-turbo V6, plus rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, so you can tailor it to your needs.

The main trade-offs are that the technology can be unintuitive and the design may not appeal to everyone. Even so, the G80’s strong value proposition and luxury-car execution make it a compelling pick if you want something distinctive rather than conventional.

Good and great deals account for 39.2% of listings, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive price.

Is the 2022 Genesis G80 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Genesis G80 is presented as a well-built luxury sedan with a reputation for quality and reliability, and its standard warranty coverage adds another layer of confidence for used buyers. Its powertrain and chassis setup are designed for smooth, controlled driving, and the car’s overall engineering points to a premium ownership experience rather than a bare-bones one.

It also comes with complimentary maintenance and service valet for three years or 36,000 miles, which helps reduce early ownership hassle. For used buyers, the biggest long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about making sure the car was maintained properly and that its more complex tech and luxury features still work as intended.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Genesis G80?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re looking at a car with higher mileage or visible wear. Focus on condition details that matter in a luxury sedan: electronics, interior trim, wheel condition, and signs of prior bodywork or cosmetic repair.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 2.5T gives you the core luxury-sedan experience, while higher trims add more equipment and a richer cabin presentation. The base setup is already well equipped, but the upper trims are where you’ll see more of the premium touches and convenience features.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6. The four-cylinder makes 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, while the V6 delivers 375 hp and 391 lb-ft; both use direct gasoline injection and require premium fuel.
• Safety package: The G80 includes a broad standard suite with adaptive cruise control, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist with road edge detection, lane-following assist, and driver attention warning. These systems are standard across the lineup.
• Infotainment: You get a 14.5-inch high-definition display, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Genesis Connected Services, and native navigation. The interface can be finicky, so make sure you test it before you buy.
• Fuel efficiency: Four-cylinder models are rated at 23 mpg city/32 mpg highway/26 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive and 22 mpg city/30 mpg highway/25 mpg combined with all-wheel drive. The V6 is rated at 17 mpg city/26 mpg highway/20 mpg combined.

Which 2022 Genesis G80 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Genesis G80 is offered in 4 trim levels: 2.5T RWD, 2.5T AWD, 2.5T Advanced, and 2.5T Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5T RWD: This is the entry point and the best-value starting place if you want the G80’s core luxury feel at the lowest price. You still get the quiet cabin, strong standard safety equipment, and the full-size upscale presentation without paying for extra hardware you may not need.
• 2.5T AWD: Choose this if you want the added traction of all-wheel drive and are willing to pay more for it. It keeps the same basic character as the base car while adding weather-friendly capability.
• 2.5T Advanced: This is the trim to target if you want the best balance of equipment and value. It builds on the base car with more luxury and convenience content, making it the sweet spot for most shoppers.
• 2.5T Prestige: Pick this if you want the most upscale version of the four-cylinder G80 and care most about cabin richness and premium features. It’s the most fully equipped 2.5T trim, but you’ll pay for that extra polish.

All safety features and driver-assistance systems are standard on every G80, so you do not need to move up a trim for the core safety package.

Is the 2022 Genesis G80 safe?

The 2022 Genesis G80 earned a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA for both the 2.5T and 3.5T models.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The G80 comes standard with 10 airbags, LATCH anchors, three-point outboard seatbelts, and a long list of active safety systems including adaptive cruise control, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist with road edge detection, lane-following assist, and driver attention warning. It also includes parking distance warning and the usual stability and braking aids.

A key strength here is that all of these safety features are standard on every G80, so you don’t have to climb the trim ladder to get the important driver-assistance tech. The adaptive cruise control can also bring the car to a stop and resume with traffic, which makes highway driving less tiring.

Should I buy a 2022 Genesis G80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It pairs a quiet, premium cabin with strong safety ratings and standard driver-assistance tech.

Consider the 2021 if:

• The 2021 offers a redesigned look, premium materials, and a broader value-oriented trim structure.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the better all-around pick if you want the strongest mix of safety, comfort, and market availability. If you’re shopping mainly on price, the 2021 can still make sense because it delivers much of the same upscale appeal and may cost less.
