Generally — 4.3/5 is a strong user rating for a heavy-duty truck, and the 2022 Sierra 3500HD backs that up with serious towing and hauling capability, a wide range of cab, bed, axle, and trim choices, and more comfort and technology than older generations offered. What should I look for when buying a used 2022 GMC Sierra 3500HD?

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a thorough inspection of the truck’s condition and equipment. Make sure the configuration and condition match the kind of work you plan to ask of it.

What is the 2022 GMC Sierra 3500HD's resale value?

The current average of $54,610 sits slightly below last year's $58,287.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more strategically now but may also mean future resale gains are more limited if prices continue to soften. For a seller, the current trend points to a truck that still has demand, but not the kind of rapid appreciation that would strongly favor waiting. Condition, configuration, and mileage will matter a lot when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
