How much does the 2022 Ford F-150 cost?

Prices have softened 7.57% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 9,664 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and configurations.

Is the 2022 Ford F-150 a good car?

Yes — the 4.88/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the smooth ride, advanced technology, and powerful performance, and many also like the wide range of options and features, especially in higher trims. That makes sense if you want a truck that can serve as a basic work vehicle, a more upscale daily driver, or an off-road-focused setup. With 34.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2022 Ford F-150 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.88/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a truck that feels dependable in everyday use, with praise for its smooth ride and powerful performance. At the same time, you should pay close attention to maintenance history and any signs of past trouble, since used-truck ownership risk can rise when a vehicle has had hard use or inconsistent care.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Ford F-150?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the truck closely for signs of prior damage, heavy towing, or uneven wear. Pay special attention to the transmission, four-wheel-drive operation, infotainment behavior, and any evidence of engine or electrical issues. A careful test drive and a pre-purchase inspection matter most if you’re shopping a higher-mileage example or one with lots of equipment.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Ford F-150?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,664 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.57% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,020, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $37,020 sits slightly below last year's $40,050.

That softer pricing can help you buy more truck for the money today, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. Even so, the F-150's broad appeal and strong demand across trims should help it remain easy to resell compared with less popular pickups. Well-equipped examples and clean-history trucks are likely to hold buyer interest better than rougher, higher-mileage ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $32,425, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $37,020 average.
• It introduced the redesigned cabin and hybrid powertrain.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $41,484, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $37,020 average.
• It adds the Raptor R flagship and Heritage Edition.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want strong owner satisfaction, broad inventory, and a softer price than last year. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want the newest additions and can stretch your budget, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
