Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a full history report and confirm there are no accident, title, or service red flags before you commit. Focus on overall condition, test every major feature, and pay close attention to how the truck drives and shifts.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Ford F-150?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,694 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.82% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.4% of listings are accident-free.

What is the 2022 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $36,409 sits slightly below last year's $39,929.

That softer pricing can help you buy more truck for the money today, but it also means future resale gains may be more measured than in a rising market. If you plan to sell later, condition and mileage will matter a lot, especially because buyers tend to respond well to well-kept examples with strong feature content. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.82% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $31,991, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $36,409 average.
• It introduced the redesigned cabin and available hybrid powertrain.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $41,019, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $36,409 average.
• It adds the high-output Raptor R and a special-edition Heritage trim.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2022 if you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and inventory. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the smarter value play because it delivers much of the same redesign-era appeal for less money.
