How much does the 2022 Ford Bronco cost?

Prices have softened 9.17% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,287 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Ford Bronco a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Ford Bronco earns a 4.5/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Form and function.

Owners consistently praise its off-road capability, performance, stylish design, comfort, tech features, and spaciousness. The Bronco’s broad lineup also gives you a wide range of choices, so it can fit different skill levels and budgets. The main trade-off is value: some owners feel it is overpriced and that too many essential features are optional.

That makes the Bronco especially appealing if you want a rugged SUV that still works well in everyday driving and offers multiple body styles and plenty of cargo space. 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Ford Bronco reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in the ways that matter most to shoppers who plan to keep it for a while: strong performance, useful tech, and a design that owners enjoy living with. The expert drive notes also emphasize that the Bronco behaves well on pavement and remains composed enough for everyday use, which supports confidence in regular ownership.

Ford also includes a broad set of available safety and convenience systems, which can help reduce day-to-day stress if you choose a better-equipped trim. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that many desirable features are optional, so you should verify equipment carefully before you buy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Ford Bronco?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and inspect any Bronco carefully, especially if it has been used off-road. Pay close attention to underbody condition, suspension wear, tire condition, and signs of water exposure or trail damage. It is also worth confirming which convenience and safety packages are installed, since several important features were optional.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup spans a wide range of equipment and capability, with off-road capability increasing as price rises. Base trims emphasize the Bronco’s rugged hardware and utilitarian design, while higher trims add more specialized off-road equipment and more comfort-oriented features.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder and an optional turbocharged 2.7-liter V6. The four-cylinder makes 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, while the V6 makes 330 hp and 415 lb-ft. A seven-speed manual is available only with the four-cylinder, and a 10-speed automatic is mandatory with the V6.
• Safety package: Standard safety features include hill-start assist, hill descent control, and trailer sway control. Frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts, lane-keep assist, rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams are available on all but the base trim as part of the optional Mid package. Front parking sensors and a surround-view camera system are offered with the High package, while the Luxe package adds adaptive cruise control and evasive steering assist.
• Infotainment: The Bronco uses Sync 4 with quick responses, sharp graphics, and off-road apps. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and a wireless charging pad is available.
• Fuel efficiency: The two-door with the base four-cylinder engine is estimated at 20 mpg city, 21 mpg highway, and 20 mpg combined. The V6 ranges between 19 mpg combined and as low as 17 mpg combined for the Badlands or Sasquatch package.

Which 2022 Ford Bronco trim should I buy?

The 2022 Ford Bronco is offered in 7 trim levels: Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and Everglades.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point if you want the Bronco’s core off-road hardware and standard four-wheel drive without paying for extra comfort or convenience features. It makes sense if you care most about capability and plan to add equipment selectively.
• Big Bend: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday usability while staying relatively accessible in the lineup. It is a smart middle ground if you want a Bronco that feels less bare-bones without jumping too far in price.
• Black Diamond: Choose this if you want a more trail-focused setup than the lower trims and expect to spend more time on rough terrain. It suits buyers who want extra off-road confidence without moving all the way to the upper end of the range.
• Outer Banks: This trim leans more toward style and comfort while still keeping the Bronco’s rugged character. It is a good fit if you want a more polished daily driver that still looks and feels like a Bronco.
• Badlands: This is the better choice if you want stronger off-road capability and are willing to pay for it. It is aimed at buyers who expect to use the Bronco’s hardware seriously rather than just occasionally.
• Wildtrak: This is for shoppers who want one of the most capable Bronco setups and are comfortable paying for it. It stands out as a high-end choice for buyers who want serious off-road performance and a more complete feature set.
• Everglades: This is the most specialized trim in the lineup, built with swamp trekking and deep water in mind. It comes with an intake snorkel, a Warn winch, and 35-inch Goodyear mud-terrain tires, so it is the right pick if you want the most extreme factory off-road setup.

The safety package note to keep in mind is that frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams are not standard on the base trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Ford Bronco?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to find value if you move decisively.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,287 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,390, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Ford Bronco's resale value?

The current average of $37,390 sits slightly below last year's $41,166.

That decline suggests the Bronco has become a little more buyer-friendly in the near term, which can help you avoid paying peak pricing. For a future seller, the current softness means resale value may be more sensitive to mileage, condition, and equipment level than it would be in a hotter market. Well-equipped trims and clean, accident-free examples should hold up better than stripped or heavily used versions.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Ford Bronco safe?

The standard Bronco earns Good ratings from IIHS in frontal, side, and roof strength tests, and Acceptable in head restraints and seats. The four-door Bronco has received four-star ratings for frontal crash protection from NHTSA, and both the four- and two-door Broncos have three-star rollover ratings.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include hill-start assist, hill descent control, and trailer sway control.

The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you need to shop carefully if safety tech matters to you.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford Bronco or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 expands the lineup with the Everglades and offers a broad range of trims and body styles.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $36,254, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $37,390 average.
• It launched the Bronco’s modern return with strong off-road focus and standard four-wheel drive.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $41,145, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $37,390 average.
• It broadens the lineup further with nine distinct models and even wider configuration choice.

The bottom line: the 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want the broadest mix of capability, choice, and current-market value. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2021 is the smarter buy; if you want more configuration breadth and do not mind paying more, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
