How much does the 2022 Ford Bronco cost?

Prices have softened 9.20% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,332 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Ford Bronco a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Ford Bronco earns a 4.5/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Form and function.

Owners consistently praise its off-road capability, comfort, tech features, and spaciousness, and many compare it favorably to the Jeep Wrangler. The expert notes reinforce that appeal with strong pavement manners for an off-roader, broad configuration choices, and a design that balances ruggedness with everyday usability. The main trade-offs are that some buyers feel it is overpriced and that too many essential features are optional. With a broad lineup aimed at different skill levels and budgets, it fits you best if you want a trail-focused SUV that still works as a daily driver. Good and great deals account for 34.3% of listings, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Ford Bronco reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in the ways that matter to you: strong performance, capable all-around use, and a reputation that inspires confidence over time. The expert notes also support that impression by describing the Bronco as a vehicle that can handle demanding terrain while still behaving well on pavement. Ford’s available maintenance and ownership-friendly packaging can help, but the Bronco’s popularity and optional-feature structure mean you should pay close attention to how a used example was equipped and maintained. For used buyers, the biggest long-term risk is finding a truck that was used hard off-road without the right care afterward.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Ford Bronco?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the Bronco may have seen trail use. Focus on underbody condition, signs of water exposure, suspension wear, and evidence of hard off-road driving. It is also worth checking whether the features you want were included on the specific trim, since several important items were optional.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup spans a wide range of personalities, from the utilitarian base model to the Everglades, which adds an intake snorkel, a Warn winch, and 35-inch mud-terrain tires. Base-trim Broncos miss several desirable convenience and safety features that appear in optional packages, so you should verify equipment carefully if you want more than the essentials.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder with 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, or an optional turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 with 330 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque. The seven-speed manual is limited to the four-cylinder, while the 10-speed automatic is available with the four-cylinder and required with the V6.
• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes hill-start assist, hill descent control, and trailer sway control. The Mid package adds frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts, lane-keep assist, rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams on all but the base trim. The High package adds front parking sensors and a surround-view camera system, while the Luxe package adds adaptive cruise control and evasive steering assist.
• Infotainment: The Bronco uses Sync 4 with quick responses, sharp graphics, and off-road apps. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and a wireless charging pad is available.
• Fuel efficiency: The base two-door with the four-cylinder is estimated at 20 mpg city, 21 mpg highway, and 20 mpg combined. The V6 ranges down to 17 mpg combined on some versions, including Badlands or Sasquatch-equipped models.

Which 2022 Ford Bronco trim should I buy?

The 2022 Ford Bronco is offered in 7 trim levels: Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and Everglades.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point if you want the Bronco’s core off-road hardware at the lowest price, but you should expect the fewest standard comfort and safety extras. It makes sense if you care most about capability and plan to add equipment selectively.
• Big Bend: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it moves you beyond the bare minimum without jumping too far up the price ladder. It is a smart middle ground if you want a more livable Bronco without chasing the most expensive trims.
• Black Diamond: Choose this if you want a more trail-ready setup than the Big Bend and expect to spend more time off pavement. It suits buyers who want a tougher-feeling Bronco without going all the way to the upper end of the range.
• Outer Banks: This trim leans more toward comfort and everyday use while still keeping the Bronco’s rugged character. It is a good fit if you want a more polished daily driver with Bronco style.
• Badlands: This is the trim for serious off-road shoppers who want stronger trail capability baked in. It is the right pick if you plan to use the Bronco hard and want a more capable starting point.
• Wildtrak: This is the performance-oriented choice for buyers who want one of the most capable Broncos without stepping into the top specialty model. It is a strong option if you want maximum off-road hardware and are willing to pay for it.
• Everglades: This is the most specialized trim, built for swamp trekking and deep water with a snorkel, winch, and 35-inch mud-terrain tires. It is the right choice if your priorities are extreme off-road use and unique equipment.

The safety-package gaps matter here: many advanced driver-assistance features are not standard on the base trim and are spread across the Mid, High, and Luxe packages.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Ford Bronco?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,332 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.20% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,191, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Ford Bronco's resale value?

The current average of $37,191 sits slightly below last year's $40,958.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer now, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about expectations if the market stays cooler. The Bronco’s strong demand, broad appeal, and reputation for capability should help support interest over time. Still, resale will depend heavily on trim, condition, and whether the vehicle has been modified or used hard off-road. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Ford Bronco safe?

The 2022 Ford Bronco earns Good ratings from IIHS in frontal, side, and roof strength tests, and Acceptable in head restraints and seats. The four-door model earns four-star ratings for frontal crash protection from NHTSA, and both the four- and two-door Broncos earn three-star ratings for rollover protection.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include hill-start assist, hill descent control, and trailer sway control. Frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts, lane-keep assist, rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams are available on all but the base trim as part of the optional Mid package. Front parking sensors and a surround-view camera system are offered with the High package, while the Luxe package adds adaptive cruise control and evasive steering assist. The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you need to check the exact package content on any used example.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford Bronco or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers a broad trim lineup with strong off-road ability and better pavement manners than many rivals.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $36,066, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $37,191 average.
• It is a newly returned off-roader with bold styling and strong trail focus.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $41,073, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $37,191 average.
• It expands the lineup to nine models and broadens configuration choice.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, capability, and selection, the 2022 is the primary year to target. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 can save you money while keeping the Bronco formula intact. If you want more configuration breadth and are willing to pay more, the 2023 is the better alternative.
