About 2022 Ferrari Portofino
The 2022 Ferrari Portofino M is a front-engined, V8-powered grand-touring convertible with a retractable hard-top roof. It has been on the market since 2017 as a replacement for the Ferrari California convertible. The “M” in the name stands for Modificata, or “Modified,” and denotes that this latest version is a more powerful evolution of the Portofino. The Portofino M was introduced for the 2021 model year and carries over into 2022. The Portofino’s power-retractable hardtop combines four-season protection from the elements with the open-air excitement of top-down driving. The Portofino M features a 2+2 layout, which means it has comfortable front bucket seats and barely usable small rear bucket seats. The cockpit has a clean, modern design and is bathed in premium leather and world-class craftsmanship. The driver and front passenger are both treated to 18-way power-adjustable and heated buckets seats with plenty of bolstering to keep you in place around swift corners. Ventilated front seats and neck-heating vents are also available—the latter is ideal for top-down driving in colder weather. The standard infotainment system is a 10.2-inch touchscreen. There’s also an optional passenger-side touchscreen that lets passengers operate the vehicle’s navigation system and view performance data. The Portofino is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 engine which makes 612 horsepower and 561 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This powertrain is capable of rocketing the Portofino M from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds, on the way to a top speed of 199 mph. This potent powertrain returns fuel economy of 16 mpg city, 23 highway, and 19 combined. The Portofino includes magnetic ride control that can adjust to road conditions constantly in a fraction of a second. It also comes standard with carbon-ceramic disc brakes. Ferrari offers modern driver-assistance features such as automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring. But, in typical Ferrari fashion, you’re required to pay extra for these features that are found in even a base-model Toyota Corolla. The 2022 Ferrari Portofino M has a starting price of $226,000. There are countless points of personalization that can add tens of thousands of dollars to the price. The Portofino M is backed by a three-year/36,000-mile powertrain warranty and comes with seven years and unlimited miles of complimentary maintenance.
