Used 2022 Dodge Charger for Sale near Wisconsin

How much does the 2022 Dodge Charger cost?

Prices are up 4.26% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 4,343 listings available, which suggests you should still have room to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2022 Dodge Charger a good car?

Yes — 4.6/5 is a strong owner rating for the 2022 Dodge Charger, and the expert rating is 8.00/10. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Drivers consistently praise its powerful performance, spacious interior, and enjoyable handling. The Charger also earns repeat credit for its easy-to-use technology and the way it balances muscle-car character with everyday usability.

The main trade-offs are its poor fuel economy and aging interior, along with a low-quality backup camera. In practical terms, that means you’re buying it for the driving experience and space, not for the most modern cabin or the best efficiency.

The model’s 27.5% good or great deal share suggests there are still worthwhile listings in the market if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Dodge Charger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The owner feedback also points to a car people feel good about living with over time, with praise centered on its strong performance, spacious cabin, and enjoyable handling.

The expert evaluation reinforces that sense of durability in daily use by highlighting easy-to-use technology and a straightforward, conventional layout. It also notes that the Charger’s traditional controls and familiar setup help make it approachable for long-term ownership.

If you’re buying used, the biggest ownership risk is less about mechanical complexity and more about finding a well-kept example that hasn’t been neglected or abused.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Dodge Charger?

At 73.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been modified or driven hard. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and signs of wear in the cabin and exterior, since the Charger’s age and performance-oriented appeal can make individual examples vary a lot.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SXT comes with a V6 engine, power-adjustable front seats, rear parking sensors, cloth upholstery, a six-speaker stereo, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The GT adds a rear spoiler, sport-tuned suspension, performance tires, an Alpine premium stereo, navigation, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen. The R/T is the least expensive V8 model, while the R/T Scat Pack adds a larger V8, launch control, a high-performance suspension, a limited-slip rear differential, Brembo brakes, a heated steering wheel, and driver’s seat memory. The Hellcat adds supercharged V8 power, upgraded brakes, and more luxury and safety equipment, while the Redeye and Jailbreak push performance even further.
• Powertrain: The V6 makes 292 horsepower in base form, with 300 hp in AWD or GT versions. The R/T uses a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with 370 hp, the Scat Pack uses a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 with 485 hp, and the Hellcat family uses a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with output ranging from 717 hp to 807 hp. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and AWD is available on V6 trims.
• Safety package: Standard equipment is limited to a backup camera and rear parking sensors. Available driver-assistance features include forward-collision avoidance, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, rain-sensing wipers, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Some of these features are not standard on lower trims.
• Infotainment: The Charger comes standard with a 7-inch Uconnect touchscreen, and an 8.4-inch screen is optional on the base SXT and standard on the rest of the lineup. Both screens include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 with RWD returns 19 mpg city, 30 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined. With AWD, it returns 18 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined. The R/T returns 16 mpg city and 25 mpg highway, the Scat Pack returns 15 mpg city and 24 mpg highway, and the Hellcat matches the Scat Pack.

Which 2022 Dodge Charger trim should I buy?

The 2022 Dodge Charger is offered in 7 trim levels: SXT, GT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, Hellcat, Redeye, and Jailbreak.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Charger’s core personality with the V6, a usable 7-inch touchscreen, and standard smartphone integration. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the lineup, but it’s also the most basic version.
• GT: This is the better-value V6 choice because it adds sport-tuned suspension, performance tires, navigation, an Alpine premium stereo, and the larger 8.4-inch touchscreen. If you want a more complete daily driver without jumping to V8 pricing, this is the trim to target.
• R/T: This is the first V8 trim, so it’s the right pick if engine character matters most and you want a more traditional muscle-car feel. It keeps much of the GT’s equipment while adding the V8 experience.
• R/T Scat Pack: This is the enthusiast sweet spot because it adds the bigger V8, launch control, high-performance suspension, limited-slip rear differential, and Brembo brakes. It’s the best-value performance trim if you want serious speed without going all the way to Hellcat pricing.
• Hellcat: This is the choice if you want supercharged power, upgraded brakes, and the more premium equipment that comes with the higher-performance models. It’s for buyers who care more about maximum output than value.
• Redeye: This is the step up for buyers who want even more power and improved engine cooling. It’s the extreme-performance option in the lineup.
• Jailbreak: This is the most powerful version, with the hottest tune in the range. It’s the one to buy if you want the most exclusive, most aggressive Charger experience.

The safety content also makes clear that lower trims start with a very limited standard safety package, so if driver-assistance features matter to you, prioritize a higher trim or a well-equipped example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Dodge Charger?

This is still a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when you find the right car.

• Deal availability: 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,343 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 4.26% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 73.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,800, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Dodge Charger’s resale value?

The current average of $28,001 sits slightly above last year's $26,857.

That upward move suggests the Charger is holding demand well for a used performance sedan. If prices continue to stay firm, sellers with clean, well-maintained examples should remain in a strong position.

The model’s broad appeal helps support that outlook, especially because buyers still value its performance, space, and distinctive character. Strong owner satisfaction also tends to keep interest steady when these cars come back to market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Dodge Charger safe?

The 2022 Dodge Charger earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Its standard safety equipment is limited to a backup camera and rear parking sensors, which is sparse by modern standards. Available driver-assistance features include forward-collision avoidance, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, rain-sensing wipers, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

That means you should pay close attention to the exact equipment on any used example, because safety content can vary a lot by trim and option package. The low-quality backup camera is also worth checking in person, since it’s one of the Charger’s more obvious weak points.

Should I buy a 2022 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 4.26% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 stands out for its old-school muscle-car character and strong performance.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,193, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,001 average.
• It offers roomy, practical muscle-car appeal with budget-friendly horsepower.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,269, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $28,001 average.
• It adds final-year appeal and a more send-off-like sense of occasion.

The bottom line: Buy the 2022 if you want the best balance of price, performance, and availability. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the smarter value play; if you want the last-year cachet, the 2023 is the premium alternative.
