Used 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer for Sale nearEl Paso, TX

How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer cost?

Prices have softened 9.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,592 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer a good car?

Generally — the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer earns 4.3/5 from owners and 6.7/10 from expert testing. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, comfortable and functional interior, and smooth ride. The Trailblazer also gets credit for being spacious and for offering easy-to-use technology, which makes it appealing if you want everyday usability without giving up personality. On the other hand, expert testing points to cheap-feeling interior materials and weaker value for money, so it works best if you prioritize style, space, and simplicity over premium cabin feel. Good and great deals make up 36.0% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a comfortable, functional cabin and a smooth, dependable feel that many owners seem happy to live with over time. The Trailblazer’s easygoing character and practical layout also support the sense that it’s a vehicle you can count on for everyday use. Expert testing adds that the drivetrain feels sprightly enough in the stronger setup and that the SUV is useful and safe, which helps reinforce confidence in day-to-day ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that lower-value trims and neglected examples may leave you with more compromise than satisfaction.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any candidate, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a documented record. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on cabin condition, suspension behavior, and how the drivetrain feels under normal driving. Pay close attention to whether the vehicle matches the equipment level you want, since the Trailblazer’s value depends heavily on trim and option content.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Trailblazer comes in L, LS, LT, Activ, and RS trim levels. The base L looks good, but it misses the all-wheel-drive availability that starts higher up, and the LT is the trim the expert review points to as the better value before you start adding options.
• Powertrain: The standard 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder makes 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, while the larger 1.3-liter engine is the better choice with 155 hp and 174 lb-ft. Front-wheel drive uses a CVT, while all-wheel drive brings a nine-speed automatic and a more sophisticated rear suspension.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot warning with lane-change assistance, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are available, so check whether a used example has the options you want.
• Infotainment: You get a 7-inch or 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Bluetooth, and Chevrolet Connected Services readiness. The system also supports Teen Driver technology, and wireless smartphone charging is available.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert review notes 28 mpg from the official EPA rating and 26.1 mpg in combined driving during testing.

Which 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer trim should I buy?

The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer is offered in 5 trim levels: L, LS, LT, Activ, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the entry point, and it still benefits from the Trailblazer’s appealing styling, but you’ll want to be sure the equipment level fits your needs before choosing it.
• LS: This trim adds a step up from the base model while keeping the Trailblazer’s core appeal intact, making it a sensible middle ground if you want to stay budget-conscious.
• LT: This is the best-value trim. The expert review specifically points you here before spending more, and it’s the trim that starts to make the Trailblazer feel better equipped without pushing the price too far.
• Activ: Choose this if you want the more rugged-looking setup and the off-road-oriented hardware described in the expert review, including off-road suspension tuning, sport-terrain tires, and a front skid plate.
• RS: This is the style-forward choice, and the test vehicle’s RS setup shows how quickly the price can climb once you add AWD and options.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the lineup, while blind-spot warning with lane-change assistance, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control remain optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,592 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,664, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer's resale value?

The current average of $18,664 sits slightly below last year's $20,529.

That softer pricing suggests the Trailblazer has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you purchase near the current average or below it, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it’s time to sell. The model’s broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, but resale will still depend heavily on trim, condition, and equipment.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer safe?

The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer earns top crash-test ratings from both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and automatic high-beam headlights. Every Trailblazer also gets 10 airbags, a rear-seat reminder system, and Teen Driver technology. If you want more coverage, blind-spot warning with lane-change assistance, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are available. The main caveat is that some of the more advanced driver-assistance features are optional rather than standard.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It adds a heated steering wheel and a trailering package option.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $16,774, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $18,664 average.
• It launched the Trailblazer nameplate as a stylish, tech-friendly new entry point.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $20,690, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $18,664 average.
• It adds updated paint choices and keeps the Trailblazer focused on value and practicality.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, features, and availability, the 2022 is the primary year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2021 can save you money, while the 2023 makes sense only if you want the newer-year premium and are comfortable paying more.
