Used 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer for Sale nearEast Vandergrift, PA

How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer cost?

Prices have softened 9.01% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,634 listings available, which suggests you should have a decent range of choices.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer a good car?

Generally — with a 4.33/5 user rating and an expert score of 6.67/10, the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer lands in the solid-but-not-class-leading zone.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, comfortable and functional interior, and smooth ride. They also point to its value in the LT package and its practical everyday usability.

The trade-offs are just as clear: the interior materials feel cheap, and some drivers note limited horsepower and ride-quality quirks.

That fits the Trailblazer’s role as a personality-rich subcompact crossover for you if you want easy-to-use tech and a distinctive look more than premium cabin materials or strong performance. Good and great deals account for 34.5% of listings, so there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer reliable?

Owners rate it 4.33/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a comfortable, functional cabin and a generally trouble-free ownership experience, with many owners describing it as a dependable value. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Trailblazer is useful and safe, which supports confidence in day-to-day ownership.

Chevrolet also includes a single free maintenance visit to the dealership, which helps a little with early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the lower-cost interior and modest powertrain will still suit your needs over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on cabin condition, ride quality, and how the powertrain feels in normal driving. Since value is a recurring concern, pay close attention to whether the equipment level matches the asking price.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Trailblazer comes in L, LS, LT, Activ, and RS trim levels. The base L looks good, but AWD is not available on it, and the LT is the trim the expert review points to as the smarter starting point if you want to build up from there.
• Powertrain: The standard 1.2-liter turbo three-cylinder makes 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, while the larger 1.3-liter turbo three-cylinder makes 155 hp and 174 lb-ft. AWD brings the more satisfying nine-speed automatic and is the better-driving setup.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot warning with lane-change assistance, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are available.
• Infotainment: You get a 7-inch or 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Bluetooth, and Chevrolet Connected Services readiness. Wireless smartphone charging is available, and the larger screen adds Alexa Built-In plus access to Spotify and SiriusXM.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert evaluation notes 26.1 mpg in combined driving on the test loop, versus an official EPA rating of 28 mpg.

Which 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer trim should I buy?

The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer is offered in 5 trim levels: L, LS, LT, Activ, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the entry point, and it still looks good, but it is the least flexible choice because AWD is not available on it. It makes sense only if your budget is tight and you want the Trailblazer’s style at the lowest possible price.
• LS: This trim adds more flexibility than the L, including access to AWD with the larger engine and different transmission. It is a reasonable step up if you want a more usable all-weather setup without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• LT: This is the best-value trim. The expert review specifically points you toward the LT, and it is the smartest place to start if you want the Trailblazer’s core strengths without paying too much for extras.
• Activ: Choose this if you want the more rugged-looking version with off-road suspension tuning, sport-terrain tires, and a front skid plate. It is the Trailblazer for you if you want a little more dirt-road attitude, though the review still warns against rough terrain.
• RS: This is the style-forward choice with 18-inch wheels and a sportier feel. It suits you if you care most about appearance and a more playful on-road personality, but the review makes clear that it can get expensive quickly.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the lineup, while blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control remain optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,634 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.01% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,733, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer's resale value?

The current average of $18,733 sits slightly below last year's $20,588.

That decline suggests the Trailblazer has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer pricing environment than before. If you buy well now, you may be able to limit depreciation risk by starting from a lower entry price.

The model’s broad appeal, practical size, and strong owner satisfaction should help support demand. Still, resale will depend heavily on condition, trim, and whether the vehicle presents as a good value relative to newer alternatives.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer safe?

The 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer earns top crash-test ratings from both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard, and it includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and automatic high-beam headlights. Every Trailblazer also gets 10 airbags, a rear-seat reminder system, and Teen Driver technology.

Blind-spot warning with lane-change assistance, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are available, so you should confirm whether a used example has the driver-assistance features you want. The good news is that the core safety package is standard, which helps the Trailblazer’s baseline protection.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It adds a heated steering wheel and a dealer-installed trailering package.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $16,886, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $18,733 average.
• It launched the Trailblazer as a stylish, tech-friendly entry-level SUV.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $20,805, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $18,733 average.
• It keeps the same practical formula while adding fresh paint choices.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, features, and availability, the 2022 is the strongest all-around pick. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want a newer model and do not mind paying more, the 2023 is the alternative to compare.
