How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe cost?

Prices have softened 13.92% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 7,725 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner approval. The Tahoe stands out as a full-size SUV that blends family-hauling space with serious utility, and its redesign brought improved passenger comfort, expanded cargo space, and upgraded technology. It also offers a more comfortable third row than before, along with strong towing ability and a broad feature set for shoppers who want a big SUV that feels more modern inside. With 38.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2022 Tahoe’s appeal is reinforced by its redesigned layout, improved passenger comfort, expanded cargo space, and upgraded technology, all of which support a more polished ownership experience. Standard safety equipment and the availability of useful towing camera views also add to its everyday practicality. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a large, capable SUV like this can bring higher running costs if you do not stay ahead of maintenance and condition checks.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.4% — always verify the vehicle history report. You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the SUV’s size-related wear points, especially if the vehicle has seen heavy family use or towing. Pay close attention to overall condition, since a full-size SUV can hide expensive issues if you skip the basics.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 7,725 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.92% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $43,598, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe's resale value?

The current average of $43,598 sits slightly below last year's $50,651. That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more favorably now but may also mean future resale gains are more limited if prices stay soft. Even so, the Tahoe’s strong utility, broad appeal, and family-friendly packaging should help it remain attractive to used shoppers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $38,624, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $43,598 average.
• It delivers a fresh redesign with major gains in comfort, cargo space, and technology.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2022 if you want the stronger overall market mix of pricing, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2021 is the better value play and still gives you the core redesign benefits that make this generation appealing.
