How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe cost?

Prices have softened 14.14% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 7,633 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a full-size SUV for buyers who want family-hauling space and serious utility. The overview points to a redesigned cabin package with improved third-row space, more cargo flexibility, and a modern tech setup, all of which make it especially relevant if you need one vehicle to handle daily driving and bigger jobs. Its broad powertrain lineup and strong towing capability add to that versatility. Good and great deals make up 36.9% of listings, so you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Tahoe’s redesign brought meaningful packaging improvements, including independent rear suspension, better third-row comfort, and more cargo space. It also pairs those gains with a 10-speed automatic and a well-equipped cabin, which can help it feel more settled and usable over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a large, powerful SUV can bring higher running costs and more wear-related upkeep if it has been heavily used.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm accident status, title history, and service records. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the suspension, brakes, tires, and interior wear, since a large SUV can hide heavy use. Focus especially on overall condition and how well the cabin, electronics, and cargo area have been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 7,633 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.14% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $43,277, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe's resale value?

The current average of $43,277 sits slightly below last year's $50,402.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum alone. Well-kept examples should still draw interest because the Tahoe’s size, capability, and utility remain central to its appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $38,317, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $43,277 average.
• It offers a newly redesigned package with improved driving dynamics and broader appeal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2022 if you want the stronger current market balance of price, inventory, and condition. If your top priority is saving money upfront, the 2021 is the better value path, especially if you find a well-kept example with the features you want.
