How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD cost?

Prices have softened 7.43% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,116 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.8/5, which points to strong overall satisfaction. The review summary highlights powerful performance, a smooth ride, and impressive features like the backup camera and electronic mirrors. That lines up well if you want a heavy-duty truck that still feels more modern and feature-rich than older work-focused pickups. With 34.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also points to a truck that owners feel good about living with over time, especially because of its powerful performance and smooth ride. When shoppers repeatedly describe a vehicle as dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, that usually supports confidence in long-term ownership. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the truck’s basic appeal and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worked harder than its condition suggests.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a full record of prior damage or repairs. Put inspection priority on the truck’s condition, especially signs of heavy use, wear from towing, and any mismatches between mileage and overall appearance. Focus on the features and equipment you care about most, since this model can vary a lot by trim and option content.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,116 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.43% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $43,584, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD's resale value?

The current average of $43,830 sits slightly below last year's $47,350.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For future sellers, a softer market means condition, mileage, and equipment matter even more when it comes time to set your asking price. Trucks that are well kept and attract strong shopper interest tend to hold value better than similar examples with visible wear or a rough history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.43% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $39,753, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $43,830 average.
• It offers more configuration flexibility for different buyer needs.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2022 if you want the stronger market mix of satisfaction, cleaner inventory, and a more current ownership experience. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2021 is the better value path, especially if you find one in excellent condition with the right equipment.
