Used 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD for Sale near Alabama
The Chevrolet Silverado has been around for nearly 25 years. Currently in its fourth generation, the truck was last redesigned for the 2019 model year. For 2022, the Silverado 1500 model receives a significant refresh, but the upgrades are limited to the light-duty model. Heavy-duty Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD trucks are carry-over models but do get some minor updates.
Most notable is the availability of the Multi-Flex tailgate for all trim levels.
The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD continues to be offered in a variety of mix-and-match configurations. The regular cab is paired with a long bed, while double- and crew-cab models can be optioned with either a standard bed or long one. All can be had with either a two-wheel drive (2WD) or four-wheel drive (4WD).
Trim levels remain Work Truck, Custom, LT, LTZ, and High Country. Work Truck and LT models are available in all body styles. Custom and LTZ are offered in double- or crew-cab styles, while the High Country is exclusively a crew cab.
While configuring your truck, a new color choice is Greenstone Metallic, which is a bit of a green-gray mix. Its addition makes the Silverado 2500HD exterior paint palette total 11. The interior keeps the low-lit cigar den theme with Jet Black or Very Dark Atmosphere being your options.
The Silverado 2500HD comes standard with a 6.6-liter V8 gasoline or E85 FlexFuel engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Power output is rated at 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. The maximum trailering weight for the standard V8 is 14,500 pounds regardless of cab size and drive type.
A 6.6-liter Duramax turbodiesel V8 is another option. It's mated to a 10-speed automatic and can be optioned with or without integrated Power Take-Off (PTO). PTO is a feature that transfers power from the engine to a vehicle’s auxiliary components. It’s designed to assist with powering equipment, for example, that might be used at a work site.
The Duramax turbodiesel produces 445 hp and a whopping 910 lb-ft of torque. Towing capacity is the same 14,5000 pounds as it is for the non-turbo V8 for regular and double cab models with either 2WD or 4WD. For Silverado 2500HD crew cab trucks, however, trailering capacity increases to 18,500 pounds for either drive configuration.
Payload figures are more varied, dependent not only on cab size and drive type but also on the engine. The maximum payload for a gasoline-powered Silverado 2500HD 2WD is 3,979 pounds. This drops to 3,536 pounds for a long-bed crew cab diesel model. For 4WD trucks, the Silverado 2500HD can carry up to 3,965 pounds. Again, this is for the regular cab, which is equipped only with a long bed. The lowest max payload offered is on a diesel-powered standard-bed double-cab truck, which tops out at 3,546 pounds.
The Silverado 2500HD is equipped with eight cameras that offer up to 15 available views for an all-around view of the truck and its surroundings. The segment-first Advanced Trailering System, which offers customized monitoring throughout the hitching and driving process, adds another level of attention and safety.
In terms of comfort and connectivity, a power-adjustable seat is now available for Custom trims. Infotainment comes in the form of a standard 7-inch touchscreen or an optional 8-inch display. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility are standard with a wireless connection available on higher trim levels.
On sale now, the 2022 Silverado 2500HD starts at $40,195, destination included.

(18 reviews)great truck handles like a dream power to move a mountain. Love it
Great truck - handles well - more than enough power - fairly quiet - rides pretty smooth for a 3/4 ton truck.
We love our 2500 chevrolet custom. It has all the features we wanted including 4 wheel drive. We love the electronic mirrors that fold inward. We love the back up camera and especially the hitch view.
Smooth, quiet, good power. Overall great ride! All vehicles in this category are pricy, these are just the best!
I really need this truck and I work on a ranch too and I need it .
