There are 461 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its affordability, efficiency, and comfort in urban driving, and they also like the beautiful interior, convenience features, and smooth one-pedal driving experience. In practice, that makes it a strong fit if you want an easy-to-live-with EV that feels well equipped for daily use.

The trade-offs are that performance is fairly pedestrian and all-wheel drive is not available. That means it suits relaxed commuting and value-focused EV shopping better than buyers who want extra punch or traction options.

The Bolt EUV’s larger, more SUV-like shape and available Super Cruise give it a more upscale, utility-minded angle than the standard Bolt EV. Good and great deals account for 38.6% of listings, which supports the case for shopping carefully.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as affordable, efficient, and comfortable in urban driving, and they also praise the smooth one-pedal driving experience and convenience features. That kind of feedback points to a vehicle that many buyers can count on for everyday use.

The Bolt EUV’s electric powertrain is straightforward, and its driving character is tuned more for ease of use than complexity. Chevy also backs it with an eight-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty, which helps reduce long-term ownership anxiety for used buyers.

For a used purchase, the main risk is making sure the battery and charging behavior still match your needs, especially if you plan to rely on range regularly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has seen heavy commuting or frequent fast charging. Focus on overall condition, charging equipment, and whether the car’s real-world range still fits your routine.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Bolt EUV is offered in LT, Premier, and limited-edition Launch Edition trim levels. The base LT gets cloth seats and does not include Super Cruise, while the Premier adds leather upholstery and can be equipped with more premium features. The Launch Edition includes model-specific alloy wheels, an illuminated charge port, a standard panoramic sunroof, and standard Super Cruise.
• Powertrain: It uses a single electric motor with front-wheel drive and 200 horsepower, and Chevy says zero to 60 mph takes about 7 seconds. Efficiency is a strength, but the setup is tuned more for calm daily driving than excitement.
• Safety package: Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a forward-distance indicator, and front pedestrian braking. Super Cruise is not available on the base LT trim level, is optional on the Premier, and is standard on the Launch Edition.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.2-inch touchscreen, an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and standard wireless phone charging. A 4G LTE WiFi hotspot and Amazon Alexa compatibility are also available.
• Range & charging: Chevy quotes a 250-mile range, an 11-kilowatt onboard charger, seven-hour charging from a 240-volt Level 2 AC source, and up to 95 miles of range in 30 minutes on DC fast charging.
• Battery health: For a used EV, check battery state-of-health, ask how the car was typically charged at home versus on DC fast chargers, and confirm how much of the battery warranty remains.

Which 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV trim should I buy?

The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV is offered in 3 trim levels: LT, Premier, Launch Edition.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the value play if you want the Bolt EUV’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get the standard EV powertrain, the 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the full set of standard safety features, but you give up Super Cruise and some of the nicer comfort and convenience upgrades.
• Premier: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds leather upholstery and can be equipped with Super Cruise, which is the Bolt EUV’s signature feature. If you want the most complete mix of comfort, tech, and driver-assist capability without jumping to the limited edition, this is the trim to target.
• Launch Edition: This is the most feature-rich version, with model-specific alloy wheels, an illuminated charge port, a standard panoramic sunroof, and standard Super Cruise. It makes sense if you want the most upscale Bolt EUV experience and are comfortable paying for the limited-production package.

Super Cruise is not available on the base LT trim level, is optional on the Premier, and standard on the Launch Edition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers.

• Deal availability: 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 461 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.33% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,643, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV's resale value?

The current average of $19,795 sits slightly below last year's $20,268.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For future sellers, the current trend points to a model whose value is being supported more by affordability and utility than by scarcity.

If demand stays steady, the Bolt EUV’s value should remain relatively stable among budget-minded EV shoppers. Its strong owner satisfaction also helps support used-market interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV safe?

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a forward-distance indicator, and front pedestrian braking. Super Cruise is available as an extra-cost option on the Premier and standard on the Launch Edition, but it is not available on the base LT trim level.

The system is designed to handle acceleration, braking, and lane centering on mapped limited-access highways, while still requiring an attentive driver. That makes it a useful driver-assistance feature, but not a substitute for staying engaged behind the wheel.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 is the first non-Cadillac model with Super Cruise, giving it a standout tech advantage for the year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $20,910, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $19,795 average.
• Chevrolet lowered prices and made it one of the most affordable new EVs on sale.

The bottom line: If you want the better used-market value, the 2022 is the stronger buy because prices have softened and inventory is healthy. If you want to spend a bit more for a newer model-year price structure, the 2023 is worth a look, but the 2022 already delivers the core Bolt EUV appeal.
