Used 2022 Cadillac XT6 for Sale nearBaton Rouge, LA

How much does the 2022 Cadillac XT6 cost?

Prices have softened 15.24% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,011 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT6 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Cadillac XT6 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

For you, that means this is a polished three-row luxury SUV that leans into comfort, technology, and family-friendly usefulness. The overview highlights a comfortable ride, impressive technology, and strong safety, while the expert notes say the differentiation and execution are much better than before.

The trade-offs are clear: styling is uninspired, performance is fairly pedestrian, and the third row is cramped. That makes it a better fit if you want a refined family hauler than if you want something especially engaging to drive.

35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there’s a meaningful share of the market worth targeting.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT6 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The XT6’s overview points to a comfortable, well-rounded luxury SUV with strong safety and a clear role in Cadillac’s lineup. The expert test drive data also emphasizes that the vehicle’s execution is better than the comparison it invokes, which supports the sense that it is a more polished product than its mission might suggest.

Its performance content describes the V6 as sufficiently powerful and notes that the cabin is well isolated from unwanted noise. The cost-effectiveness content also frames it as a practical way to get seven-passenger seating and cargo space without moving up to the Escalade.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the XT6’s appeal depends heavily on comfort and features, so condition and maintenance history matter more than raw performance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Cadillac XT6?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean title alone does not tell you how the SUV was maintained or repaired. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the suspension, electronics, and cabin controls, since this model leans heavily on comfort and technology. Focus on overall condition, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with advanced driver-assistance features.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The XT6 is offered in Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trim levels. The base Luxury trim uses the turbocharged four-cylinder, while Premium Luxury and Sport move to the V6 and add more upscale or athletic positioning. The base trim also misses some of the richer presentation and equipment that make the higher trims feel more like a luxury SUV.
• Powertrain: The standard engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, while Premium Luxury and Sport use a 3.6-liter V6 with 310 hp and 271 lb-ft. All-wheel drive is available with either engine, and the V6 is described as sufficiently powerful.
• Safety package: The available Super Cruise system is the headline driver-assistance suite, and the standard safety list includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. Adaptive cruise control and a semi-autonomous park assist system are available, and the Platinum Package adds the fullest set of driving-assistance and collision-avoidance features.
• Infotainment: The XT6 uses an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected services with WiFi hotspot access, and available embedded navigation. It also offers terrific voice recognition, though the screen is smaller than many rivals and the interface has some usability quirks.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 with AWD returns 21 mpg in combined driving, and the test route produced 19.5 mpg.

Which 2022 Cadillac XT6 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Cadillac XT6 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, and it gives you the XT6’s core three-row luxury-SUV formula at the lowest price. It’s the trim to consider if you want the model’s space and comfort without paying for the V6 and higher-end presentation.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the V6 and a more upscale feel while preserving the XT6’s comfort-first character. It’s the trim that best matches the model’s strengths in ride quality, technology, and everyday refinement.
• Sport: Choose this if you want the XT6’s more athletic personality and the available performance-oriented hardware described in the test drive data. It’s the right pick if you care more about the sportier setup than about maximizing value.

The safety-package note to keep in mind is that Super Cruise and the fullest driver-assistance content are available, with the Platinum Package bringing the most complete setup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Cadillac XT6?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,011 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.24% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,049, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Cadillac XT6's resale value?

The current average of $29,049 sits slightly below last year's $34,274.

That price movement suggests the XT6 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you purchase near the current average or below it, you may have a better chance of limiting further value loss than someone who bought when prices were higher.

The model’s appeal as a comfortable, well-equipped three-row luxury SUV should help keep it relevant with family buyers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT6 safe?

The 2022 Cadillac XT6 earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS and five-star ratings in every crash-test evaluation from NHTSA, plus a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

The XT6’s safety suite includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. Adaptive cruise control and a semi-autonomous park assist system are available, and Super Cruise is the standout hands-free highway driving-assist feature.

The caveat is that Super Cruise is impressive but not flawless. The expert testing notes that it can struggle with lane markings, traffic flow, and handoff timing, so you should treat it as an advanced aid rather than a substitute for attention.

Should I buy a 2022 Cadillac XT6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.24% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 stands out for its strong safety ratings and available Super Cruise technology.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,051, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $29,049 average.
• It offers a spacious third row and strong handling.

The bottom line: choose the 2022 if you want the stronger market mix of price, inventory, and safety-backed appeal. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the better value path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
