Used 2022 Cadillac XT5 for Sale near Idaho

How much does the 2022 Cadillac XT5 cost?

Prices have softened 12.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,439 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT5 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Cadillac XT5 earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 6.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

Owners most often praise its comfort, smooth performance, and spacious interior. The V6 also gets singled out for strong power delivery, and the cabin’s quietness and upscale feel come through in the feedback as well.

The trade-offs are familiar: advanced safety features are not standard, the ergonomics can be frustrating, and value for money is a weak point. That matters because the XT5 is aimed at you if you want a refined, comfortable luxury crossover rather than the most exciting or tech-forward one in the segment.

Good and great deals account for 33.6% of listings, so there’s a meaningful share of the market priced competitively.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels comfortable, smooth, and dependable enough to inspire confidence over time. The expert evaluation also highlights a quiet cabin and a well-sorted V6 powertrain, both of which support the impression of a mature, easy-to-live-with luxury SUV.

Cadillac’s four-year, 50,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and six-year, 70,000-mile powertrain warranty add some reassurance for used buyers. Even so, you should still pay close attention to maintenance records and overall condition, because luxury features and options can raise long-term ownership costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Cadillac XT5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, even if it looks clean on paper. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the brakes, electronics, suspension, and infotainment functions, since luxury features can be expensive to sort out later. Focus on condition and equipment level, because the XT5’s appeal depends heavily on how well it was optioned and maintained.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Luxury trim is the entry point and uses 18-inch alloy wheels, while Premium Luxury adds a more traditional chrome-heavy look and Sport brings darker trim, a mesh grille, and standard 20-inch wheels. The Platinum Package, available on Premium Luxury and Sport, adds semi-aniline leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped instrument panel and door trim, a microfiber sueded headliner, and a heated steering wheel.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, or a 3.6-liter V6 with 310 hp and 271 lb-ft of torque. Both pair with a nine-speed automatic, and the V6 is the stronger choice if you want more relaxed passing power.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear park assist, automatic high-beam headlamps, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and the Safety Alert Seat. Available upgrades add adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, rear automatic braking, rear pedestrian alert, surround-vision camera system, night vision, automatic parking assist, and blind-spot monitoring, but Super Cruise is not offered.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot. An 8-inch digital instrument cluster display and a head-up display are available with the Technology Package.
• Fuel efficiency: The base turbo-four is rated at 24 mpg combined with FWD and 23 mpg combined with AWD. The V6 is rated at 21 mpg combined with either FWD or AWD.

Which 2022 Cadillac XT5 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Cadillac XT5 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the least expensive way into the XT5, and it gives you the core comfort-and-luxury formula with the turbo-four, standard 18-inch wheels, and the main infotainment and safety features. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry price and can live without the stronger V6 or the richer trim-specific upgrades.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it opens the door to the V6, the available Platinum Package, and a more traditional Cadillac look. If you want the XT5’s strongest mix of comfort, power, and upscale features, this is the one to target.
• Sport: Choose this if you want the V6 standard, darker styling, and the sport-specific exterior treatment with 20-inch wheels and Brembo brakes. It’s the right pick if appearance and a more aggressive look matter more to you than value.

The safety package is generous, but several advanced driver-assistance features remain optional rather than standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Cadillac XT5?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,439 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.73% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 79.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,876, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Cadillac XT5's resale value?

The current average of $27,876 sits slightly below last year's $31,942.

That decline suggests the XT5 has become more affordable in the used market, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, though, it also means you should expect resale values to reflect a softer pricing environment rather than a strong upward trend.

The XT5’s broad appeal as a comfortable luxury crossover should help it remain relevant with shoppers who prioritize refinement over excitement. Still, the market is rewarding value right now, so condition, mileage, and equipment will matter a lot when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT5 safe?

The 2022 Cadillac XT5 earns top “Good” scores in all IIHS crash tests and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in frontal and side crash tests and four stars in rollover crash testing.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear park assist, automatic high-beam headlamps, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and the Safety Alert Seat. Available upgrades add adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, rear automatic braking, rear pedestrian alert, surround-vision camera system, night vision, automatic parking assist, and blind-spot monitoring.

The main caveats are that advanced safety features are not standard, and the XT5’s headlight rating is only “Marginal,” which is worth keeping in mind if you drive often at night.

Should I buy a 2022 Cadillac XT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the XT5’s comfort-focused formula while adding minimal changes and a few styling updates.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,748, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $27,876 average.
• It offers a more finely appointed feel with easy-to-use technology and broad appeal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,662, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $27,876 average.
• It leans into style and substance with a spacious cabin and polished presence.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, inventory, and the XT5’s comfort-first character, the 2022 is the smart default. If you’re focused on saving money, the 2021 is the better value play. If you want to spend more for a newer-feeling presentation, the 2023 is the alternative to compare.
