Used 2022 Cadillac XT5 for Sale nearHarrisburg, PA

How much does the 2022 Cadillac XT5 cost?

Prices have softened 11.64% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,433 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT5 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Cadillac XT5 earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 6.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

Owners most often praise its comfort, smooth performance, and spacious interior. The V6 engine also comes up as a highlight, along with the vehicle’s safety features.

The trade-offs are clear: advanced safety features are not standard, the ergonomic design draws criticism, and value for money is a weak point.

For you, that means the XT5 makes the most sense if you want a comfort-first luxury crossover rather than the most engaging or best-equipped one in the segment. Even so, 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centered on comfort and smooth performance. The expert evaluation also emphasizes the XT5’s quiet cabin, smooth power delivery, and relaxed driving character, which all support an easygoing daily-use profile.

Cadillac’s warranty coverage adds some ownership reassurance, and the first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the vehicle was maintained well and equipped with the options you want.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Cadillac XT5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean title alone does not tell you how the vehicle was maintained or repaired. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the suspension, brakes, electronics, and interior wear, especially if the vehicle has higher mileage or a long options list. Condition matters here because the XT5’s appeal depends heavily on how well it was kept and how many desirable features it has.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Luxury trim is the entry point, while Premium Luxury and Sport add more personality and equipment. The Premium Luxury leans more traditional with bright chrome, while the Sport gets darker trim and a mesh grille. Base-trim versions are less likely to have the upscale feel you may expect from this model.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a turbocharged four-cylinder and a naturally aspirated V6. The V6 is the stronger choice if you want more relaxed passing power and smoother everyday performance.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear park assist, automatic high-beam headlamps, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and the Safety Alert Seat. An optional Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and rear automatic braking, while the Technology Package adds rear pedestrian alert, surround-vision camera system, night vision, and automatic parking assist. Blind-spot monitoring is available as well.
• Infotainment: The standard setup includes an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot. An 8-inch digital instrument cluster display and a head-up display are available with the Technology Package.
• Fuel efficiency: The base turbo-four is rated at 24 mpg combined with FWD and 23 mpg combined with AWD. The V6 is rated at 21 mpg combined with either FWD or AWD, with city and highway figures varying by drivetrain.

Which 2022 Cadillac XT5 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Cadillac XT5 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core XT5 experience with the base turbo-four, standard 18-inch alloy wheels, and the standard comfort and tech features. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price, but it is also the trim most likely to feel stripped down relative to the rest of the lineup.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds a more traditional Cadillac look, more upscale presentation, and access to the optional V6 and Platinum Package. If you want the XT5 to feel genuinely luxury-oriented, this is the trim to target.
• Sport: This is the most distinctive trim, with darker styling, a mesh grille, standard 20-inch wheels, and the V6 as standard equipment. It suits you best if you want the strongest visual presence and the more powerful engine without stepping into the options list as much.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, but the more advanced driver-assistance features still depend on packages rather than being standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Cadillac XT5?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,433 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.64% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,428, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Cadillac XT5's resale value?

The current average of $28,428 sits slightly below last year's $32,172.

That price movement suggests the XT5 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you purchase near the current average or below it, you reduce the chance of taking the steepest early hit. A well-kept XT5 with desirable equipment should be easier to move later than a poorly optioned or heavily worn example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Cadillac XT5 safe?

The 2022 Cadillac XT5 received top “Good” scores in all Insurance Institute for Highway Safety crash tests, and the top “Superior” rating for front-crash prevention tech when equipped with optional enhanced automatic emergency braking. It earns five-star ratings from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in frontal and side crash tests and four-star ratings in rollover crash testing.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear park assist, automatic high-beam headlamps, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and the Safety Alert Seat. An optional Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and rear automatic braking. The Technology Package adds rear pedestrian alert, surround-vision camera system, night vision, and automatic parking assist. Blind-spot monitoring is available as well.

The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, and the XT5 also received a “Marginal” headlight rating and an “Acceptable” rating for LATCH child seat anchor ease of use.

Should I buy a 2022 Cadillac XT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the familiar XT5 formula with comfort-focused luxury, available V6 power, and minimal changes for the year.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $24,859, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,428 average.
• It offers a more polished-feeling premium SUV with broad appeal and easy-to-use technology.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,750, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $28,428 average.
• It leans into a more value-oriented luxury experience with a spacious cabin.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current pricing, strong owner satisfaction, and a broad used-car inventory, the 2022 is the primary year to target. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the better price-first alternative. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer example, the 2023 is worth comparing, but the 2022 remains the sweet spot for many shoppers.
