Is the 2022 Cadillac Escalade ESV a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Cadillac Escalade ESV earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It is positioned as a full-size luxury SUV that leans hard into space, comfort, and technology, with a roomier cabin, 41.5 cubic feet of cargo space, and a high-end infotainment setup centered on a 38-inch curved display. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want a big, upscale SUV with a strong emphasis on passenger room and features. Good and great deals make up 35.5% of listings, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Cadillac Escalade ESV reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2022 Escalade ESV also comes across as thoughtfully equipped, with lane departure warning and lane keep assist across all trim levels, plus a cabin and powertrain lineup aimed at comfort and everyday usability. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a large, luxury-focused SUV can be expensive to keep in top condition, so maintenance history matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a careful inspection of the body, interior, and electronics. Because this model leans heavily on technology and luxury features, make sure every screen, seat function, and driver-assistance feature works as expected. Pay close attention to overall condition, since a premium SUV like this can be costly to refresh if previous owners skipped upkeep.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

This is a moderate buyer's market, so you can shop selectively without expecting deep bargain-bin pricing.

• Deal availability: 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,035 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.95% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 79.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $58,731, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Cadillac Escalade ESV's resale value?

The current average of $58,731 sits slightly below last year's $64,504.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also temper near-term resale upside. If you plan to sell later, the biggest advantage is that this model still has broad appeal as a luxury SUV with strong space and technology credentials. Well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones, especially when they present cleanly and have documented history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Cadillac Escalade ESV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $52,623, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $58,731 average.
• It emphasizes space, technology, and polished road manners.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want the stronger current-market mix of inventory, deal availability, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2021 is the better value path, especially if you find one with a clean history and solid condition.
