Used 2022 Audi A4 for Sale nearDayton, OH

How much does the 2022 Audi A4 cost?

Prices have softened 14.39% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 659 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Audi A4 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Audi A4 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Technology, and Safety.

It stands out as an excellent choice in the luxury sports sedan class because it still feels fresh, has a rock-solid structure, and brings modern technology to the cabin. It is also fun to drive, and safety is another strength.

The trade-offs are clear: the base engine is underwhelming, and the back seat is cramped.

With 36.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Audi A4 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 A4 is described as a pleasant surprise because it impressed just as much as it did when this generation debuted, and nothing about it telegraphs its age. Its rock-solid structure and modern technology support the impression of a well-sorted sedan that has aged gracefully.

The powertrain is refined, the S-tronic dual-clutch transmission behaves beautifully, and the car feels quiet and composed in daily driving. The efficiency-focused all-wheel-drive system also helps it feel secure without getting in the way.

If you buy used, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing a version that feels too weak for your needs, since the base engine is the weakest part of the package.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Audi A4?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status is not the same as a clean mechanical record. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are looking at a higher-mileage example or a car with premium equipment. Focus on overall condition, cabin wear, and whether the technology and driver-assistance features work as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige, and the higher trims add more equipment. The base version is the one most likely to leave you wanting more, so pay close attention to feature differences if you want a better-equipped car.
• Powertrain: The 40 TFSI uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 201 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque, while the 45 TFSI raises output to 261 horsepower and 273 pound-feet. Both use a seven-speed S-tronic dual-clutch automatic and standard all-wheel drive, and the 45 TFSI is the stronger choice if you want more urgency.
• Safety package: Audi Pre Sense includes front and rear collision preparation, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. The test vehicle also had lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control with Traffic Jam Assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a safe exit warning system, a surround-view camera system, and Park Assist. Some of those features are tied to higher trims.
• Infotainment: The A4 uses a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus Audi Connect connected services. It also offers wireless smartphone charging, navigation, and a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system on the tested vehicle.
• Fuel efficiency: The 40 TFSI earns 29 mpg in combined driving, while the 45 TFSI is rated at 27 mpg combined.

Which 2022 Audi A4 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Audi A4 is offered in 3 trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus, Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the trim to target if you want the lowest entry price and the core A4 experience. It gives you the standard luxury basics and all-wheel drive, but you should expect fewer of the upscale features that make the A4 feel special.
• Premium Plus: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it should strike the best balance between equipment and price. It is the trim to focus on if you want a more satisfying daily driver without stretching all the way to the top model.
• Prestige: This is the one to buy if you want the most complete version of the A4. The tested Prestige model included the most advanced driver-assistance and convenience equipment, along with the strongest sense of the car’s luxury and technology strengths.

The safety-package content shows that Audi stair-steps availability, so the more you spend, the more driver-assistance equipment you get.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Audi A4?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 659 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.39% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,647, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Audi A4's resale value?

The current average of $22,647 sits slightly below last year's $26,454.

That price movement suggests the A4 has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help future resale by keeping it within reach of a broader audience. At the same time, the softer market means sellers may need to price competitively if they want to move the car quickly.

Well-equipped examples with strong condition and desirable features should hold up better than stripped-down versions. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Audi A4 safe?

The 2022 Audi A4 earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and a five-star overall rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Audi Pre Sense is the core driver-assistance suite, and it includes front and rear collision preparation, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. The tested car also had lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control with Traffic Jam Assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a safe exit warning system, a surround-view camera system, and Park Assist.

One caveat is that the adaptive cruise control can react a little slowly in changing traffic, so you should stay engaged even when the system is active.

Should I buy a 2022 Audi A4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It impressed as much as it did when this generation debuted, and its rock-solid structure and modern technology make it feel current.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the right pick if you want a used A4 that still feels modern, drives well, and comes with strong safety credentials. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2022’s softer pricing and solid inventory make it an appealing place to start.
