Used 2021 Toyota Camry for Sale nearChampaign, IL

How much does the 2021 Toyota Camry cost?

Prices have softened 1.55% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,282 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable range of choices.

Is the 2021 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Toyota Camry earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, great handling, stylish design, fuel efficiency, and reliable performance. The expert review also points to a comfortable, spacious cabin and a driving experience that is more engaging than older Camrys. The trade-offs are the outdated technology and an underwhelming base engine, so you should weigh those against the Camry’s broad appeal if you want a practical midsize sedan that still feels pleasant to drive. Good and great deals account for 33.3% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe the Camry as reliable and praise its dependable, trouble-free performance, along with fuel efficiency and strong day-to-day usability. The expert review reinforces that reputation by emphasizing Toyota’s long-standing reliability and the Camry’s practical, confidence-inspiring character. Toyota also notes that the Camry retains an excellent reputation for reliability, and the ownership picture is helped by the brand’s strong track record. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a neglected example could erase the Camry’s usual durability advantage, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Toyota Camry?

At 59.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for uneven wear, signs of poor repairs, and any issues that might not show up in photos. Focus on overall condition, because the Camry’s value depends heavily on how well it has been maintained and whether its equipment matches the trim you want.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: LE and XLE models get a cleaner grille, while SE, XSE, and TRD trims add more aggressive styling details and visual clutter. The base LE also starts with 17-inch alloy wheels, while higher trims move up to larger wheels and more upscale interior materials.
• Powertrain: You can shop a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, a 3.5-liter V6, or a hybrid setup. The four-cylinder is the most common choice, the V6 brings the strongest output, and the hybrid is the efficiency play.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, and traffic-sign recognition. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard on XLE and XSE, but optional on LE and SE.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trims add a 9-inch screen, WiFi capability for five devices, navigation, and a nine-speaker JBL audio system, while XSE and XLE can also get a 10-inch head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The four-cylinder LE and SE models are rated at 28 mpg city and 39 mpg highway with FWD, or 25 mpg city and 34 mpg highway with AWD. The hybrid reaches up to 52 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2021 Toyota Camry is offered in 6 trim levels: LE, XLE, SE, SE Nightshade Edition, XSE, and TRD.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the best-value starting point if you want the Camry’s core strengths without paying for extras. It gives you the standard safety suite, the 7-inch touchscreen, and the cleanest path into the lineup.
• SE: This is the trim to consider if you want a more expressive look and a better balance of features and price. It adds sportier styling and sits in the middle of the lineup, making it a sensible step up for many shoppers.
• SE Nightshade Edition: Choose this if you want the SE’s equipment with blacked-out exterior trim and wheels. It is mainly about appearance, so it suits you if style matters more than added hardware.
• XLE: This is the comfort-leaning choice if you want a more upscale feel. It brings a cleaner look, leather upholstery, and standard blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
• XSE: This is the best fit if you want a more premium, more aggressive Camry with added equipment. It can get the larger touchscreen, navigation, JBL audio, and head-up display, while also standardizing the blind-spot and rear cross-traffic features.
• TRD: This is the enthusiast pick. It pairs the V6 with chassis upgrades, bigger brakes, and available summer tires, so it is the one to choose if you want the most performance-oriented Camry.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard on the XLE and XSE trim levels, and optional on the LE and SE grades.

What is the 2021 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $21,692 sits slightly below last year's $22,034.

That modest decline suggests the Camry is holding value reasonably well, but not aggressively appreciating. For a future seller, that means you should expect steady demand rather than a big upside spike. The good news is that the Camry’s broad appeal, practical reputation, and strong ownership satisfaction should help keep it easy to resell when you are ready to move on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds updated infotainment, Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+, and the new LE base trim.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,901, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $21,692 average.
• It adds all-wheel drive and the TRD trim.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,932, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $21,692 average.
• It keeps the Camry’s roomy, reliable, efficient, safe formula.

The bottom line: The 2021 is the best all-around pick if you want the updated safety tech and broad trim range without paying 2022 prices. If your priority is saving money, the 2020 is the better value play, especially if you want AWD or TRD capability.
