Why it stands out
The 2021 Subaru WRX distinguishes itself as a sporty compact sedan that caters to enthusiasts looking for performance without breaking the bank. It boasts a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, generating an impressive 268 horsepower, paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or an available CVT. The standard all-wheel drive enhances its handling capabilities, ensuring sharp cornering and brisk acceleration. While the WRX may trade off some daily driving refinement for engaging performance, it provides an exhilarating experience that rivals competitors in its class, such as the Honda Civic Si and Volkswagen Golf GTI.
Inside, however, the WRX reveals its age with an interior that lacks the refinement found in more modern rivals, featuring hard plastics that contribute to a less-than-premium feel. Despite these drawbacks, the WRX remains popular among buyers seeking a fun-to-drive car with practical sedan attributes. Key options like Subaru's EyeSight safety system and various tech features enhance its appeal, making it a versatile choice for both daily driving and spirited rides.

Great car all around. Clutch is stiff and the bite point is high, so it was an adjustment coming from something that was the opposite. Very quick, very little lag in the turbo. Feels faster than it is which makes it fun. Cobb intake was already installed at purchase (low miles though) had to tune to account for it but made the car feel smoother and more responsive. Likely will be upgrading further, but not pushing too far to failure.

I have the Limited. It has most everything I needed. Would like to have had power Front passenger seat. I would have been happy with the Base model which costs a lot less - however, none were available. Compared it to Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Hyundai Veloster. This car has what I wanted most; an manual transmission.
