There are 1,297 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 RAM 3500 a good car?

Yes — the 2021 RAM 3500 earns a 4.71/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its towing capability, handling with heavy loads, and spacious cab, and they also like the ride quality compared with competitors. The truck’s upscale interior and daily-driver feel make it especially appealing if you want maximum capability without giving up comfort. With 32.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2021 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes that the truck feels dependable in real-world use, especially when you need it for towing and heavy-duty work. Comments about solid performance, trouble-free ownership impressions, and confidence over the long term all point in the same direction. For used buyers, that suggests the bigger ownership risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about how hard a specific truck was worked.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 RAM 3500?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and prior use before you get too far into a deal. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the truck’s condition, especially signs of heavy-duty wear from towing or hauling. Focus on the cab, suspension, and overall maintenance history so you can separate a well-kept truck from one that has been worked hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 RAM 3500?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,297 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.71% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 75.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $47,359, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $47,516 sits slightly below last year's $50,936.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may also mean future resale gains are more limited if prices stay soft. Even so, a truck with strong demand and broad appeal in the heavy-duty segment can still hold value reasonably well. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment and clean history should be easier to move later than trucks with signs of hard use.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.71% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2021 is the right pick if you want a heavy-duty truck with strong owner approval, a softer price than last year, and a healthy pool of listings to compare. If you’re more price-sensitive, you can also keep an eye on nearby model years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained truck rather than chasing the newest badge.
