Used 2021 RAM 2500 for Sale nearLexington, KY

How much does the 2021 RAM 2500 cost?

Prices have softened 10.20% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,657 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy number of trucks to compare.

Is the 2021 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.69/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its performance, safety features, and value for money, and many also like the impressive power and fuel efficiency, especially with the diesel engine. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a heavy-duty truck that can work hard while still feeling more refined and family-friendly than many rivals. With 34.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.69/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes dependable performance, with many drivers describing the truck as a strong value that they can count on for serious work. That kind of praise matters in a heavy-duty pickup, where long-term ownership often depends on whether the truck keeps delivering under load. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the concept of the truck and more about how well a specific example has been maintained and used.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 RAM 2500?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a vehicle history report first, then focus on a thorough inspection of the truck’s condition and maintenance record. Pay close attention to signs of hard use, especially if the truck was used for towing or hauling. A careful pre-purchase inspection can help you separate a well-kept example from one that has been worked hard.

• Inventory: There are 3,657 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $39,867, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $39,867 sits slightly below last year's $44,397.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the truck was maintained. Heavy-duty trucks can hold buyer interest well when they present as clean, well cared for, and properly documented.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.69/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.69/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $38,600, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $39,867 average.
• It emphasizes upscale capability with a refined, luxurious feel.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2021 is the better primary target. If your priority is spending a bit less up front, the 2020 is the more budget-friendly alternative and still delivers the upscale heavy-duty appeal that makes this truck stand out.
