Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a thorough pre-purchase inspection to confirm the car’s condition matches the listing. Because the Macan is a premium performance SUV, condition matters as much as price when you are deciding which listing is worth your money.

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 885 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.82% compared with last year.

What is the 2021 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $36,483 sits slightly below last year's $40,011.

That softer pricing can help you buy more efficiently today, but it also means future resale will depend heavily on how well the market values this model’s condition and desirability. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle well maintained, you reduce the risk of taking an outsized depreciation hit later. Strong demand for a premium SUV with a loyal following can help support resale, especially when the car presents well and has a clean history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.82% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $45,002, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $36,483 average.
• It adds updates that keep the SUV feeling fresher and more current.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2021 if you want the better value and a strong mix of satisfaction, inventory, and pricing. If you are willing to spend more for a newer-feeling version, the 2022 is the better secondary path; if price matters most, the 2021 is the smarter buy.
