Used 2021 Nissan Titan for Sale nearIthaca, NY

How much does the 2021 Nissan Titan cost?

Prices have softened 10.23% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 712 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Nissan Titan a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Nissan Titan earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the powerful engine, comprehensive safety features, and strong value. The cabin comfort and performance on and off the road also come up often as positives.

The main trade-offs are limited bed and cab configurations and poor fuel economy. For you, that means the Titan makes the most sense if you want a straightforward full-size pickup with a generous feature set rather than maximum configuration flexibility.

With 35.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Nissan Titan reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck people feel good about keeping, with repeated praise for dependability, strong value, and a sense that it can be counted on over time. The expert test-drive notes also support that impression by emphasizing the Titan’s straightforward, durable-feeling setup and its strong standard powertrain.

Nissan’s five-year/100,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty adds another ownership advantage. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the truck has been maintained well, since higher-mileage full-size pickups can hide wear even when they seem solid on paper.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Nissan Titan?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any truck you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the drivetrain, brakes, suspension, and any signs of hard use. Focus on overall condition, because a full-size pickup can look good while still carrying the wear of towing, hauling, or off-road driving.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Titan comes in S, SV, SL, Pro-4X, and Platinum Reserve grades, with the base Titan S and Titan SV using dark grilles while higher trims add more distinctive exterior treatment. The Pro-4X stands apart with blacked-out details and lava-red accents, while the Platinum Reserve gets satin chrome touches.
• Powertrain: You get one engine: a 5.6-liter V8 with 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive are both offered, and the truck’s standard powertrain is a major strength.
• Safety package: Every Titan includes Nissan Safety Shield 360, which bundles automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, high beam assist, and rear automatic braking. Available upgrades include Around View Monitor, adaptive cruise control, driver-alertness monitor, traffic-sign recognition, and rear door alert.
• Infotainment: A standard 9.0-inch infotainment touchscreen is included, along with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, two USB ports, and satellite radio. Navigation, HD Radio, additional USB ports, dual-zone automatic climate control, remote start, and a household-style power outlet are available.
• Fuel efficiency: The Titan returns an EPA-estimated 18 mpg combined, with 16 mpg city and 21 mpg highway for rear-wheel-drive models and 15 mpg city and 21 mpg highway for four-wheel-drive models.

Which 2021 Nissan Titan trim should I buy?

The 2021 Nissan Titan is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, SL, Pro-4X, and Platinum Reserve.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Titan’s core strengths, including the standard V8, the 9.0-inch touchscreen, and Nissan Safety Shield 360. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost path into the Titan without giving up the essentials.
• SV: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it keeps the Titan’s strong standard equipment while moving you into a more appealing middle ground. If you want a well-rounded truck without stretching to the upper trims, this is the one to focus on.
• SL: This trim adds a more upscale look with a bright chrome grille and a more premium feel overall. It suits you if you want a nicer daily driver without jumping all the way to the top.
• Pro-4X: This is the off-road-focused choice, with hill-descent control, an electronic locking rear differential, and unique exterior details. Pick it if you want the Titan’s most rugged character.
• Platinum Reserve: This is the most upscale Titan, with satin chrome exterior accents and the most premium presentation in the lineup. It’s the right fit if comfort and appearance matter most.

Safety Shield 360 is standard across the lineup, and the Titan also adds rear automatic braking as a class-exclusive feature.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Nissan Titan?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 712 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.23% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 76.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,546, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Nissan Titan's resale value?

The current average of $28,546 sits slightly below last year's $31,801.

That decline suggests the Titan has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy now, you’re entering at a lower average cost than last year’s market. If you plan to resell later, the current softness means your return will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Nissan Titan safe?

The 2021 Nissan Titan earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Titan comes with Nissan Safety Shield 360, which includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, high beam assist, and rear automatic braking. Available safety tech also includes Around View Monitor, adaptive cruise control, driver-alertness monitor, traffic-sign recognition, and rear door alert.

That standard safety suite is a major strength, especially because rear automatic braking is a class-exclusive feature. The Titan’s safety package is one of the clearest reasons to consider it if you want a full-size pickup with broad driver-assistance coverage.

Should I buy a 2021 Nissan Titan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 brings a refreshed cabin, standard 9.0-inch touchscreen, and broad Safety Shield 360 coverage.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $25,134, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $28,546 average.
• It offers a stronger value proposition with major gains in technology, safety, and overall competitiveness.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,123, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $28,546 average.
• It keeps the straightforward V8 formula while adding a quieter, more polished feel.

The bottom line: If you want the refreshed Titan with strong standard equipment and a lower average price than last year, the 2021 is the sweet spot. If your priority is saving money, the 2020 is the better budget play; if you want a slightly newer truck at a similar price, the 2022 is worth a look.
