How much does the 2021 Nissan Armada cost?

Prices have softened 9.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 865 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2021 Nissan Armada a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Nissan Armada earns a 4.67/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Technology and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, spacious interior, and towing capability. The big touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay also come up as standout positives, along with the SUV’s luxury feel and roomy cabin. On the downside, the Armada’s poor fuel economy and some outdated appointments remain part of the ownership trade-off.

That fits the Armada’s role as a large three-row SUV for you if you value space, strength, and comfort more than efficiency. It also shows 38.4% good or great deals in the market, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Nissan Armada reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers’ feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with repeated praise for the Armada’s smooth ride and strong towing ability. The expert evaluation also reinforces its durable, proven character by describing the V8 as tried and true and the SUV as a capable daily driver.

The ownership picture is helped by the fact that the Armada’s core mechanical setup is straightforward and familiar, which can be reassuring for used buyers. Still, you should expect higher running costs than more efficient rivals, so long-term ownership risk is more about fuel and upkeep burden than basic capability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Nissan Armada?

At 73.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with a lot of equipment. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the features you want are actually present on the trim you’re looking at.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Armada is sold in S, SV, SL, and Platinum grades. The base setup includes standard LED lighting, acoustic front glass, and the refreshed exterior design, while upper trims add more luxury and convenience equipment. Some desirable items, like the Midnight Edition Package, are limited to the SL, and the Platinum gets the most upscale cabin materials and standard tech.
• Powertrain: Every Armada uses a 5.6-liter V8 with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, automatic four-wheel drive is available, and the SUV is described as capable off-road with substantial ground clearance and strong towing hardware.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear door alert are also standard, while a rear camera mirror and surround-view camera system are available.
• Infotainment: The standard 12.3-inch touchscreen is the largest in its class and includes wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, Bluetooth, satellite radio, USB Type-A and Type-C ports, a WiFi hotspot, and NissanConnect Services. A wireless charging pad, Bose audio, rearview camera mirror, and rear-seat entertainment are available, with the Platinum getting the extra equipment standard.
• Fuel efficiency: Rear-wheel-drive models are rated at 14 mpg city, 19 mpg highway, and 16 mpg combined, while four-wheel-drive models are rated at 13 mpg city, 18 mpg highway, and 15 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Nissan Armada trim should I buy?

The 2021 Nissan Armada is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the refreshed styling, standard safety suite, and the large 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It makes sense if you want the Armada’s core strengths without paying for luxury extras.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more convenience and flexibility without jumping all the way to the top. It’s the trim to target if you want a balanced mix of equipment and price.
• SL: This trim adds more upscale content and is the only one eligible for the Midnight Edition Package. If you want a more distinctive look and a richer feature set, this is the trim to consider.
• Platinum: This is the most luxurious version, with quilted leather seating and the most standard tech and comfort features. It suits you best if you want the Armada to feel as premium as possible.

Safety Shield 360 is standard across the lineup, so you don’t need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Nissan Armada?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, so you can shop carefully and still find opportunities.

• Deal availability: 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 865 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.38% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,742, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Nissan Armada's resale value?

The current average of $26,389 sits slightly below last year's $29,121.

That decline suggests the Armada has moved into a more buyer-friendly pricing zone, which can help you if you’re shopping now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than broad market momentum alone.

The good news is that the Armada’s strong feature set and roomy, capable character still give it appeal in the used market. If you keep yours clean, well maintained, and properly documented, you’ll be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Nissan Armada safe?

The NHTSA has given the SUV a three-star rollover rating.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear door alert are also standard, while a rear camera mirror and surround-view camera system are available.

One caveat is that the lane departure warning can be overly zealous, and the automatic high beams can be slow to react on dark roads. The Armada also lacks advanced driver-assist systems like Nissan ProPilot Assist or Super Cruise.

Should I buy a 2021 Nissan Armada or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 brings a freshened appearance and upgraded technology while keeping the Armada’s roomy, comfortable character.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $31,531, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $26,389 average.
• It keeps the traditional body-on-frame formula but leans even more into the old-school V8 character.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2021 is the smarter buy because it combines a lower average price with refreshed tech and styling. If you’re willing to pay more for the next model year’s slightly newer take on the same formula, the 2022 is the secondary path — but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2021.
