About 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLA
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class is a sleek and sophisticated subcompact luxury SUV. It combines elegant exterior styling with a comfortable ride and the latest tech and safety innovations. The GLA was completely redesigned for the 2021 model year, and it carries over to 2023 with minimal changes. Trims for the GLA-Class are based on powertrain selection and include GLA 250, GLA 250 4Matic, AMG GLA 35, and AMG GLA 45. Standard equipment on the GLA 250 includes synthetic leather upholstery, remote start, dual-zone automatic climate control, four USB ports, power-adjustable front seats, and reclining rear seats. The GLA 250 also comes equipped with the MBUX infotainment system, which consists of an intuitive 7-inch touchscreen with a powerful voice client that can respond to commands such as “Hey, Mercedes…” The touchscreen system includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For 2023, selecting the GLA 250 4Matic adds some additional content, in the form of the Off-Road Engineering Package. It adds an additional drive mode that’s optimized for low-speed crawling over obstacles. The AMG GLA 35 and AMG GLA 45 add more potent powertrains, as well as performance components. These include upgraded brakes, performance suspension, and additional drive modes. Every version of the 2023 GLA comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, in various levels of tune. The GLA 250’s engine makes 221 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The AMG GLA 35’s engine puts out 302 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, and the AMG GLA 45 makes 382 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent through an eight-speed automatic transmission to the front wheels or to 4Matic all-wheel drive (AWD). AWD is optional on the GLA 250 and standard on AMG models. The AMG GLA 45 can sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds. The GLA 250 returns fuel economy of 24 mpg city, 34 highway, and 28 combined. Adding 4Matic AWD brings fuel economy down to 23 mpg city, 32 highway, and 26 combined. The AMG GLA 35 returns 22 mpg city, 29 highway, and 25 combined, and the AMG GLA 45 returns 20 mpg city, 25 highway, and 22 combined. The GLA-Class requires premium fuel. The GLA-Class provides seating for five and 15.4 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. With the rear seats folded down, the SUV provides up to 50.5 cubic feet of cargo space. The 2023 GLA comes equipped with a selection of driver-assistance features, including forward collision avoidance, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rain-sensing wipers, and driver-attention monitoring. It also comes with a system that compensates for strong crosswinds while driving. Further available driver-assistance tech includes lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, adaptive headlights, a head-up display, and a 360-degree parking monitor. Base MSRP for the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class is $37,500 for the GLA 250. The GLA 250 4Matic starts at $39,500. The Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 starts at $47,950, and the range-topping AMG GLA 45 starts at $55,400. The GLA-Class is backed by a four-year/50,000-mile basic warranty.
