How much does the 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport cost?

Prices have softened 18.72% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 990 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.5/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

The 2021 Range Rover Sport stands out for blending luxury with genuine versatility, and it is equally at home on pavement or dirt. It also offers multiple powertrain options and available three-row seating, which broadens its appeal if you want an opulent SUV that can do more than commute.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology can be unintuitive, and cargo space is limited when the third row is in use. Even so, the overall package is unusually well-rounded for a luxury SUV, with very few obvious compromises.

38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2021 Range Rover Sport’s appeal comes from its broad capability: it combines luxury, strong on-road composure, and real off-road ability. Its powertrain lineup is also wide, which can help you find a version that fits your needs more closely than a one-size-fits-all SUV.

Its performance credentials are reinforced by the available powertrains and the way the chassis is tuned for both rough terrain and paved roads. The model also includes a plug-in hybrid option, which adds another layer of flexibility for some buyers.

If you choose one used, pay close attention to technology usability and overall condition, because long-term ownership satisfaction will depend heavily on how well the vehicle has been maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the vehicle has been used off pavement or has higher mileage. Focus on cabin condition, electronics behavior, and whether the third-row and cargo area meet your needs.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SE trim includes leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, an eight-speaker Meridian premium sound system, a WiFi hotspot, and the dual-screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trims add features such as quad-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a 19-speaker Meridian sound system, refrigerated center console, 22-way power-adjustable front seats, power soft-close doors, and more upscale equipment.
• Powertrain: The base P360 mild-hybrid setup uses a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with a 48-volt electrical system. Other options include the P400 version of that powertrain, a plug-in hybrid, a diesel, and supercharged V8s, with output ranging from 355 horsepower to 575 horsepower.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and front-and-rear parking sensors. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert cost extra.
• Infotainment: The dual-screen center console is the main interface, with the upper screen handling infotainment and the lower screen handling climate and vehicle settings. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and the system also has a real volume button.
• Fuel efficiency: The plug-in hybrid is rated at 19 miles of electric range and 42 MPGe combined, with 19 mpg combined in hybrid mode. Mild-hybrid models return 19 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined, while the diesel is rated at 22 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport trim should I buy?

The 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is offered in 7 trim levels: SE, HSE Silver, HST, HSE Dynamic, Autobiography, SVR, and SVR Carbon Edition.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, but it still gives you leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, the dual-screen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a WiFi hotspot. It makes sense if you want the Range Rover Sport experience without chasing expensive extras.
• HSE Silver: This trim adds quad-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a 19-speaker Meridian sound system. It is the best-value choice if you want a noticeable luxury upgrade without jumping into the pricier performance trims.
• HST: This version keeps much of the HSE Silver equipment but upgrades the powertrain and swaps in tri-zone climate control. Choose it if you want more punch and still want a relatively balanced setup.
• HSE Dynamic: This trim brings the supercharged V8, plus a limited-slip differential and a two-speed transfer case. It is the right pick if you want stronger performance and more serious hardware.
• Autobiography: This is where the cabin gets more indulgent, with 22-way power-adjustable front seats, power soft-close doors, and many optional features from lower trims. It suits you if comfort and luxury matter more than value.
• SVR: This performance model adds a more powerful V8, performance-oriented front-and-rear sport seats, and a stiffer suspension. Pick it if you want the most aggressive driving character.
• SVR Carbon Edition: This builds on the SVR with carbon fiber accents and 22-inch alloy wheels. It is for buyers who want the top-end performance look and feel.

Standard driver-assistance features are decent, but adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert are not included on the base setup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 990 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.72% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 79.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,134, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport's resale value?

The current average of $33,134 sits slightly below last year's $40,763.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim desirability.

Because the model spans everything from more accessible trims to high-output performance versions, the right configuration can matter a lot when it comes time to sell. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should be easier to move than neglected ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport safe?

The 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The Range Rover Sport comes with forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and front-and-rear parking sensors as standard equipment. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert are available, but not standard.

That means you should pay close attention to the exact feature set on any used example, especially if you want more advanced driver assistance. If you are comparing trims, make sure the one you choose includes the safety equipment you expect.

Should I buy a 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines luxury, multiple powertrain options, and available three-row seating.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $29,432, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $33,134 average.
• It emphasizes plug-in hybrid efficiency and traditional Range Rover Sport capability.

The 2021 is the better all-around pick if you want the broader, more versatile package and a market that has already softened meaningfully. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2020 is the more price-sensitive path and may appeal more if efficiency is a bigger part of your decision.
