How much does the 2021 Jeep Gladiator cost?

Prices have softened 7.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,104 listings available, which suggests solid inventory availability.

Is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its ruggedness, off-road capability, and unique design, and many also like its powerful feel and comfortable interior. The Gladiator’s open-air personality and distinctive styling make it especially appealing if you want a truck that feels different from a conventional midsize pickup. On the downside, the expert review points to poor fuel economy and a ride-and-handling setup that can feel rough in everyday driving. If you want a lifestyle-focused truck with strong character and utility, this year’s Gladiator fits that brief well. Good and great deals account for 37.0% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a truck that feels rugged and dependable, with owners especially appreciating its long-term appeal and trouble-free character. The expert review also emphasizes its durable, old-school construction and the sense that it is built for hard use rather than delicate commuting. Free scheduled maintenance during the first three years or 36,000 miles adds a helpful ownership perk. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a truck used for serious off-road or heavy-duty work may show wear faster than a more conventional pickup.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Jeep Gladiator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that looks closely at suspension, steering, tires, and any signs of hard off-road use. Pay extra attention to condition if the truck has been modified, since this model’s appeal often attracts owners who personalize it heavily.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport trim starts with a 5-inch display, crank windows, and the most basic top, while Sport S adds the 7-inch Uconnect 4 system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Overland brings a more upscale feel, and the High Altitude adds body-color detailing, black 20-inch wheels, and premium Nappa leather.
• Powertrain: A 3.6-liter gasoline V6 is standard, and a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 is available for 2021. The diesel brings strong low-end torque and better fuel economy than the gas engine, but it is not available on the Mojave.
• Safety package: The standard setup is limited to a reversing camera, while available driver-assistance features include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. Some trims require upgrades to get these features.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses a 5-inch display, while the available Uconnect 4 setup brings a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trims can add an 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation, connected services, remote start, and a WiFi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The diesel returns noticeably better fuel economy than the gas engine, and the expert review notes 24 mpg in combined driving for the diesel estimate and 20.3 mpg in mostly highway testing for the standard V6.

Which 2021 Jeep Gladiator trim should I buy?

The 2021 Jeep Gladiator is offered in 5 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Overland, High Altitude.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Gladiator’s core personality at the lowest starting price. You get the basic 5-inch display, manual windows, and the simplest top, so it makes sense if you care more about the truck’s character than its convenience features.
• Sport S: This is the best-value trim because it adds the 7-inch Uconnect 4 system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which makes the cabin feel much more modern without moving too far up the price ladder.
• Willys: This trim adds a blacked-out grille, limited-slip rear differential, rock rails, and 32-inch all-terrain tires, so it is the one to choose if you want a more trail-ready look and hardware.
• Overland: This trim leans more toward comfort and equipment, and it is the right fit if you want a more polished Gladiator with available upscale features and the forward-facing Trail Cam.
• High Altitude: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with body-color detailing, black 20-inch wheels, and premium Nappa leather for buyers who want the most upscale version of the truck.

For safety equipment, remember that the standard truck is sparse, so you should look for trims or packages that add the available driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Jeep Gladiator?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find opportunities.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,104 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.95% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,026, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator's resale value?

The current average of $30,026 sits slightly below last year's $32,621.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the truck in clean condition, you may be better positioned than someone who pays near the top of the range. The Gladiator’s distinctive appeal can help support demand, especially among shoppers who want a truck with strong personality rather than a conventional midsize pickup. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Jeep Gladiator safe?

The 2021 Jeep Gladiator earns a four-star frontal-impact rating from NHTSA and a three-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety setup is minimal, with just a reversing camera included. Available driver-assistance features include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams. You should pay close attention to trim level and option content if safety tech matters to you, because much of it is not standard. The rollover rating is the main caveat to keep in mind when you compare this truck with more safety-focused alternatives.

Should I buy a 2021 Jeep Gladiator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 adds a turbo-diesel engine option, available full-time four-wheel drive, fresh special-edition models, and free scheduled maintenance.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $27,536, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $30,026 average.
• It combines midsize pickup utility with strong off-road ability.

The bottom line: If you want the most appealing mix of features, inventory, and pricing momentum, the 2021 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2020 is the more budget-friendly path.
