Used 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE for Sale near New York

Is the 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 6.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 8/10.

The 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE is built for you if you want a sports car that leans hard into style, drama, and attention rather than value or anonymity. It delivers raw, nearly unhinged performance, and the car’s appeal is rooted in its design and pedigree.

The trade-offs are real: poor fuel economy and poor visibility are part of the package, and you do not get a manual transmission. Even so, if you want a mega-buck performance car that stands out on the road, this is aimed squarely at that use case.

Good and great deals make up 34.2% of listings, which suggests there is at least some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE is presented as a focused performance car rather than a luxury-first cruiser, and that matters for reliability expectations: it emphasizes driving excitement, not broad-spectrum refinement. Its performance character is described as visceral and emotionally engaging, with a powertrain that delivers strong thrust and a decisive transmission.

Jaguar’s EliteCare package includes a five-year, 60,000-mile warranty with free scheduled maintenance and 24-hour roadside assistance, which is a meaningful ownership perk. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that this is still a high-strung sports car with clear compromises, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a car like this where performance hardware and electronics matter. Focus on overall condition, signs of hard use, and whether the car’s equipment works as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes coupe and convertible body styles, with base and First Edition P300 rear-wheel drive, R-Dynamic P380 all-wheel drive, and R AWD variants. The base setup is the entry point, while the higher-output and AWD versions add more capability and equipment.
• Powertrain: The F-Type R uses a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 with 575 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed Quickshift automatic and torque-vectoring AWD. It is tuned for hard acceleration and high-speed performance rather than efficiency.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes a reversing camera, adaptive cruise control with an adaptive speed limiter, forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, and a driver-monitoring system. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch touchscreen running InControl Touch Pro. It includes OTA updates, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, connected navigation, remote access, and a WiFi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA says the F-Type R returns 18 mpg combined, and the test loop returned 20.6 mpg.

Which 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE trim should I buy?

The 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE is offered in 4 trim levels: base P300 rear-wheel drive, First Edition P300 rear-wheel drive, R-Dynamic P380 all-wheel drive, and R AWD.

Here's the short version:

• P300 rear-wheel drive: This is the entry point if you want the F-TYPE experience at the lowest price. It gives you the core styling and sports-car character without moving up to the more expensive AWD and higher-output versions.
• First Edition P300 rear-wheel drive: Choose this if you want the same basic rear-drive setup but with a more special-edition feel and added exclusivity. It makes sense if you care about the look and presentation as much as the driving experience.
• R-Dynamic P380 all-wheel drive: This is the best-value choice if you want a stronger balance of equipment and capability. It adds AWD and a more powerful setup, making it the trim most buyers should start with.
• R AWD: Pick this if you want the most serious performance character in the lineup. It is the trim for buyers who care most about the F-TYPE’s high-output, high-drama personality.

For safety, Jaguar includes a standard reversing camera and a broad driver-assistance suite, while blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert remains optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE?

This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Inventory: There are 73 listings available.
• Clean inventory: 86.3% of listings are accident-free.

Is the 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE safe?

The 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes a reversing camera, adaptive cruise control with an adaptive speed limiter, forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, and a driver-monitoring system. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional, so you should check whether the specific car you are considering has that added.

One caveat is that visibility to the rear is awful, which makes the standard camera especially important. The driver-assist tech also has some usability quirks, so you should test the controls and alerts during your inspection.

Should I buy a 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 model brings refreshed styling, updated lighting, digital instrumentation, and other minor changes that keep it feeling current.

The bottom line: If you want the refreshed look and the same core F-TYPE personality, the 2021 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, you should focus on the best-condition example rather than chasing a specific year difference.
