About 2023 Jaguar F-TYPE
Jaguar built a name and a legendary history with sleek, lively sports cars, but there were quite a few dark years when many wondered if the company would ever get back to its glory days. The answer came in 2014 when the new F-Type coupe hit the streets, bringing with it all the warm, fuzzy feelings that Jaguars of old frequently elicited. Jaguar slimmed down the F-Type lineup for 2022, killing the four- and six-cylinder engines and leaving only the V8, but there are no updates for 2023. The car is available in three configurations: F-Type, F-Type R-Dynamic, and F-Type R. Each trim has a convertible option as well, and all come with a V8 engine, though outputs vary. All-wheel drive (AWD) is available. All 2023 F-Types get a supercharged 5.0-liter V8. The P450 powertrain delivers 444 horsepower and 428 pound-feet of torque. The F-Type R’s V8 produces 575 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. Acceleration ranges from a 4.4-second zero-to-60-mph time in the base F-Type to a scorching 3.5 seconds in the top F-Type R. In addition to the extra horsepower, the R is equipped with AWD, which helps it get power to the ground more efficiently. Sport seats with ebony leather and suedecloth upholstery come standard. Graphite accents, metal pedals and treadplates, and power seats and steering adjustments are also equipped by default. The top-trim F-Type R gets Windsor leather upholstery over performance seats, and it also comes with premium interior lighting that offers multiple color options. The F-Type gets a 10-inch touchscreen running the latest Jaguar Pivi Pro infotainment software. It’s more responsive than before and requires fewer taps to accomplish tasks such as changing a radio station or climate setting adjustment. It’s paired with a 12.3-inch configurable digital gauge cluster that enables different views with maps, performance data, and other vehicle information. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, along with Bluetooth, SiriusXM radio, HD radio, and more. The Meridian sound system features ten speakers, 380 watts, and a 10-channel amplifier. Even though it is a high-end sports car, the F-Type gets plenty of advanced driver-assistance systems by default. Jaguar equips automatic emergency braking, a driver-condition monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, traffic-sign recognition with adaptive speed limiting, lane-keep assist, forward-collision warnings, and a rearview camera. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) hasn’t crash-tested the F-Type because of its relatively low-volume production numbers and high cost. Buyers may also consider the Porsche 718, the Chevrolet Corvette, or the Audi RS5. Pricing for the 2023 Jaguar F-Type starts at $74,675, which includes a $1,275 destination charge. The F-Type Convertible starts at $77,975, the F-Type R-Dynamic at $85,175, and the range-topping F-Type R at $112,475. The cars are on sale now and can be configured on Jaguar’s website.
