Used 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE for Sale nearAurora, IL

Is the 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE a good car?

Yes — you rate it 4.67/5, and the expert rating is 6.83/10. The standout strength is Performance at 8/10.

The 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE is built around style and drama, with a design that draws attention and a driving character that’s described as raw and thrilling. It’s aimed at you if you want a high-profile sports car experience rather than value, anonymity, or technological sophistication.

The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and no manual transmission. It also comes with poor visibility, so it asks you to accept some everyday compromises in exchange for its personality.

Good and great deals account for 38.0% of listings, which suggests you can still find some market opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE is presented as a focused sports car rather than a broad-appeal luxury coupe, and that focus shows up in the way it prioritizes performance over comfort and refinement. Its performance character is described as raw, emotional, and visceral, with strong thrust and a decisive transmission.

Jaguar’s EliteCare package includes a five-year, 60,000-mile warranty with free scheduled maintenance and 24-hour roadside assistance, which helps reduce early ownership burden. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that this is still a high-strung performance car with some everyday irritations, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report and then prioritize a close inspection of the car’s condition, especially if you’re considering one that has been driven hard. Pay extra attention to visibility-related concerns, interior wear, and any signs that the car’s performance hardware has been used aggressively.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes coupe and convertible body styles, with base and First Edition P300 rear-wheel drive, R-Dynamic P380 all-wheel drive, and R AWD variants. The base-level setup is the entry point, while the higher-output and all-wheel-drive versions add more capability and equipment.
• Powertrain: The F-Type R uses a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 with 575 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed Quickshift automatic and torque-vectoring AWD. It’s tuned for hard acceleration and high-speed driving, not relaxed commuting.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes a reversing camera, adaptive cruise control with an adaptive speed limiter, forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, and a driver-monitoring system. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch touchscreen running InControl Touch Pro. It includes OTA updates, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, connected navigation, remote access, and a WiFi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA says the F-Type R returns 18 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE trim should I buy?

The 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE is offered in 4 trim levels: base P300 rear-wheel drive, First Edition P300 rear-wheel drive, R-Dynamic P380 all-wheel drive, and R AWD.

Here's the short version:

• base P300 rear-wheel drive: This is the entry point if you want the F-TYPE experience with the least expensive setup. It makes sense if you care most about the design and badge and want to keep the purchase price lower.
• First Edition P300 rear-wheel drive: This is the better choice if you want a more special-feeling version of the entry model and are willing to pay for added exclusivity.
• R-Dynamic P380 all-wheel drive: This is the trim to focus on if you want the best balance of equipment and capability, since it adds more performance-oriented hardware and all-wheel drive without jumping all the way to the top model.
• R AWD: This is the one to buy if you want the full performance experience. It brings the 5.0-liter supercharged V8, the strongest output, and the most dramatic character in the lineup.

Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional, and Jaguar also offers a Park Assist option.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Clean inventory: 81.7% of listings are accident-free.

Is the 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE safe?

The 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE does not have a crash-test rating cited here, so the safety picture comes down to its standard driver-assistance equipment and visibility limitations.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes a reversing camera, adaptive cruise control with an adaptive speed limiter, forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, and a driver-monitoring system. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional, and Park Assist is also available.

A key caveat is poor rear visibility, which makes the standard reversing camera especially important. The driver-assist tech also has some usability quirks, and the lane-departure warning can be subtle.

Should I buy a 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 model gets refreshed front-end styling, slimmer LED headlights, a reworked rear bumper, digital instrumentation, and a simplified lineup.

The bottom line: If you want the most distinctive version of the F-TYPE’s style-and-performance formula, the 2021 is the one to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, you should focus on the best-condition example rather than chasing the newest or most heavily optioned car, because the appeal here is the driving experience and the car’s presence, not value.
