Used 2021 INFINITI QX80 for Sale near Pennsylvania

How much does the 2021 INFINITI QX80 cost?

Prices have softened 12.53% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 464 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2021 INFINITI QX80 a good car?

The 2021 INFINITI QX80 is a mixed but appealing choice if you want a large luxury SUV that prioritizes comfort and capability over modern polish. It earns a 3.8/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating.

The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Owners commonly praise its comfortable ride, spacious cabin, and premium interior materials. The expert review also points to its upscale cabin feel and strong highway composure as major strengths.

The trade-offs are clear: the expert review calls out poor fuel economy, poor handling, and poor value for money. That makes it a better fit if you care more about full-size presence and comfort than efficiency or sharp driving dynamics.

Given the overview, you should think of it as a full-size luxury SUV for buyers who want old-school toughness with premium accommodations. With 33.8% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market does offer some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2021 INFINITI QX80 reliable?

The 2021 INFINITI QX80 is built around a body-on-frame layout and a proven V8 powertrain, which supports its long-term durability appeal. Owners describe it as reliable, dependable, and trouble-free in everyday use, especially when they value comfort and a smooth driving experience.

The expert review also notes that the QX80’s construction and drivetrain give it the kind of rugged, long-term character you can count on in a large SUV. Infiniti’s warranty coverage includes a four-year, 60,000-mile basic warranty and a six-year, 70,000-mile powertrain warranty.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that age-related wear and higher running costs can outweigh the SUV’s durability advantages.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 INFINITI QX80?

At 74.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection matters here, especially because you want to check for signs of cosmetic wear, uneven panel gaps, and any issues that could affect comfort or drivability. Focus on condition first, since this SUV’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been maintained.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Luxe rides on 20-inch wheels, while Premium Select and Sensory move up to 22-inch wheels. The interior also steps up with perforated semi-aniline leather on Sensory models, so lower trims are easier to spot as less richly appointed.
• Powertrain: All models use a 5.6-liter V8 with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and four-wheel drive is available; the engine is responsive, but shifts could be smoother.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and Backup Collision Intervention.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses 8.0-inch upper and 7.0-inch lower touchscreens, plus Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a built-in WiFi hotspot, and navigation. The interface is dated and can be cumbersome to use.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA ratings are 16 mpg combined, 14 mpg city, and 20 mpg highway with rear-wheel drive, or 15 mpg combined, 13 mpg city, and 19 mpg highway with four-wheel drive.

Which 2021 INFINITI QX80 trim should I buy?

The 2021 INFINITI QX80 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxe, Premium Select, and Sensory.

Here's the short version:

• Luxe: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core QX80 experience with standard leather upholstery, the dual-screen infotainment setup, and the full suite of standard driver-assistance features. It makes the most sense if you want the QX80’s size and capability without paying for extras you may not need.
• Premium Select: This trim adds a more upscale look and feel, including the move to 22-inch wheels. It’s the best-value choice if you want a noticeable step up in presence without going all the way to the top trim.
• Sensory: This is the range-topper, and it brings the richest cabin treatment, including perforated semi-aniline leather, plus the most premium overall presentation. It suits you best if you want the most luxurious version and are willing to pay for it.

Standard safety equipment is strong across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 INFINITI QX80?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 464 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.53% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 74.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,464, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 INFINITI QX80's resale value?

The current average of $28,466 sits slightly below last year's $32,545.

That decline suggests the QX80 has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means future resale values may remain under pressure if the market keeps favoring newer or more efficient SUVs. If you buy now, you may benefit from the softer pricing, but you should not expect especially strong appreciation later.

For a future seller, the key takeaway is that condition and trim will matter a lot. A well-kept, well-equipped example is more likely to hold its appeal than a higher-mileage truck with visible wear or a rough service history.

Is the 2021 INFINITI QX80 safe?

The 2021 Infiniti QX80 earns a four-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in side crash tests, four-star ratings in frontal crash tests, and a three-star rollover rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and Backup Collision Intervention. That is a strong standard list for the class, especially because Infiniti makes these features standard rather than reserving them for higher trims.

The main caveat is the three-star rollover result, which is worth keeping in mind if safety is a top priority for you.

Should I buy a 2021 INFINITI QX80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.53% compared with last year.
• It keeps the rugged body-on-frame formula while adding small updates like the improved Smart Rearview Mirror.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $22,358, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $28,466 average.
• It offers a more luxurious take on the Armada with comfort-focused appeal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $36,030, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $28,466 average.
• It adds a larger 12.3-inch display with wireless Apple CarPlay and more modern tech.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price and current-market availability, the 2021 is the sensible middle ground. If your budget is tighter, the 2020 can save you money, while the 2022 is the better path if you want newer tech and can stretch for it.
