How much does the 2021 INFINITI Q50 cost?

Prices have softened 15.56% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 332 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 INFINITI Q50 a good car?

Yes — the 2021 INFINITI Q50 earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 6.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise the powerful performance, the classy interior, and the sporty driving feel. The review summary also points to a strong 400-horsepower engine, plus handling and ride quality that make the car feel engaging on the road.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology feels outdated, and some owners wish for better cabin noise levels. The overview also frames it as a stylish sports sedan that asks you to accept compromises in space, tech, and overall value.

That makes the Q50 a better fit if you want a luxury sedan with a sportier personality than many rivals, rather than the most modern or practical choice. Even so, 23.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still some market flexibility.

Is the 2021 INFINITI Q50 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with praise centered on strong performance and a classy interior that owners seem happy to live with over time. The expert evaluation also describes the Q50 as a solid choice as a discounted used car, which supports the idea that it can be a sensible long-term buy if you choose carefully.

Infiniti’s warranty coverage includes a four-year, 60,000-mile basic warranty and a six-year, 70,000-mile powertrain warranty, which helps reduce early ownership risk. For used buyers, the bigger concern is condition and maintenance history, since age and mileage will matter more than the badge alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 INFINITI Q50?

At 58.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a full vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had bodywork or shows uneven wear. Focus on the condition of the interior electronics, the suspension, and the overall quality of the cabin, since the Q50’s age and tech complexity can make neglected examples feel tired quickly.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Pure and Luxe models use leatherette upholstery, while higher trims add more upscale touches; the Red Sport 400 also gets carbon-fiber trim, red brake calipers, and 19-inch wheels. The base trim is the one most likely to feel light on luxury features, so compare equipment carefully before you buy.
• Powertrain: Every 2021 Q50 uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Most models make 300 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, while the Red Sport 400 makes 400 hp and 350 lb-ft.
• Safety package: Forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking are standard. You need to move up from Pure to Luxe to get adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and the Around View Monitor 360-degree camera system.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses 8-inch upper and 7-inch lower touchscreens, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Sensory and Red Sport 400 models also get a 16-speaker Bose audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: Most models are rated at 23 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive and 22 mpg combined with all-wheel drive. The Red Sport 400 is rated at 22 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive and loses 1 mpg in the city with all-wheel drive.

Which 2021 INFINITI Q50 trim should I buy?

The 2021 INFINITI Q50 is offered in 4 trim levels: Pure, Luxe, Sensory, and Red Sport 400.

Here's the short version:

• Pure: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the lowest price and are comfortable with the most basic luxury presentation. It still gives you the core Q50 formula, but you should expect the fewest comfort and convenience upgrades.
• Luxe: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the key safety and convenience upgrades you’re most likely to want, including adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and the Around View Monitor.
• Sensory: This trim adds more upscale equipment and also gets the 16-speaker Bose audio system, making it a stronger pick if you care more about cabin ambiance and features than bargain pricing.
• Red Sport 400: Choose this if you want the most performance-focused version, with the 400-horsepower engine, sportier exterior details, and the most aggressive personality in the lineup.

The safety-package gap is important here: you have to step up from Pure to Luxe to get several major driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 INFINITI Q50?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 23.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 332 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.56% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,756, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 INFINITI Q50's resale value?

The current average of $20,756 sits slightly below last year's $24,580.

That decline suggests the Q50 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. For a seller, the upside is that the car’s current market position may be closer to its value floor than its peak, especially if you keep mileage and condition in check.

The Q50’s appeal to shoppers who want performance and style can help support demand, but its dated tech and value concerns may limit how quickly it rebounds. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 INFINITI Q50 safe?

The 2021 Infiniti Q50 received top “Good” scores in all Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash tests, but “Average” and “Marginal” ratings for headlights. At the time of publication, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) hadn’t released full safety ratings for the 2021 Q50, only showing five stars in rollover crash tests.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking are standard. To get adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and the Around View Monitor 360-degree camera system, you need to move up from the Pure trim to the Luxe trim.

Q50 models with Direct Adaptive Steering also get Active Lane Control, which helps keep the car centered in its lane. The main caveat is the headlight performance, which trails the rest of the crash-test results.

Should I buy a 2021 INFINITI Q50 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 23.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Infiniti added a new Sensory trim, more driver-assist tech, and a built-in WiFi hotspot for this year.

The bottom line: If you want the Q50’s style, strong engine, and sporty character at a lower used price, the 2021 model is the one to target. If you’re shopping mainly on value and want the best chance of finding a cleaner, better-equipped example, be selective and compare condition closely before you buy.
