How much does the 2021 INFINITI Q50 cost?

Prices have softened 15.37% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 320 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2021 INFINITI Q50 a good car?

Yes — the 2021 INFINITI Q50 earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 6.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise the powerful performance, classy interior, and sporty driving feel. The user feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, with long-term satisfaction tied to the car’s strong engine and engaging road manners.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology feels outdated, and some owners wish for better cabin noise levels and more modern features. That lines up with the Q50’s use case as a stylish sports sedan for you if you value design and driving character more than the latest tech.

The market shows 24.7% good or great deals, so there is still some room to find a compelling used example.

Is the 2021 INFINITI Q50 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a reliable, dependable sedan that many owners feel they can count on over time, especially when it comes to the engine and overall driving experience. The expert review also describes the Q50 as a solid used-car choice when discounted, with a strong powertrain and a chassis that feels composed on the road.

Infiniti’s warranty coverage includes a four-year, 60,000-mile basic warranty and a six-year, 70,000-mile powertrain warranty, which helps support early ownership confidence. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that age-related wear and maintenance costs can matter more than the car’s core durability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 INFINITI Q50?

At 57.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings with similar prices. Focus on overall condition, signs of uneven wear, and whether the car’s equipment and trim level match the seller’s description.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Pure trim is the entry point, while Luxe adds adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and an Around View Monitor 360-degree camera system. Sensory and Red Sport 400 add a sportier-looking front bumper, larger air intakes, dual exhaust, and a 16-speaker Bose audio system, while Pure and Luxe use leatherette upholstery.
• Powertrain: The Q50 uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Most models make 300 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, while the Red Sport 400 makes 400 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque.
• Safety package: Forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking are standard. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and the 360-degree camera are added on the Luxe trim, and models with Direct Adaptive Steering also get Active Lane Control.
• Infotainment: The standard setup includes 8-inch upper and 7-inch lower touchscreens, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The system is functional, but the graphics and interface feel dated.
• Fuel efficiency: Most rear-wheel-drive models are rated at 23 mpg combined, with 20 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. AWD models are rated at 22 mpg combined, with 19 mpg city and 27 mpg highway. The Red Sport 400 is rated at 22 mpg combined, with 20 mpg city and 26 mpg highway in rear-wheel-drive form.

Which 2021 INFINITI Q50 trim should I buy?

The 2021 INFINITI Q50 is offered in 4 trim levels: Pure, Luxe, Sensory, Red Sport 400.

Here's the short version:

• Pure: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Q50 experience with the standard twin-turbo V6, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and the basic safety equipment. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model and can live without the extra driver-assistance features.
• Luxe: This is the best-value trim because it adds adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and the Around View Monitor 360-degree camera system. If you want the most useful everyday upgrades without jumping to the sportier trims, this is the one to target.
• Sensory: This trim adds a more upscale feel and includes the 16-speaker Bose audio system. It suits you if you want more comfort and a richer cabin experience without going all the way to the performance-focused model.
• Red Sport 400: This is the performance choice, with 400 horsepower, red brake calipers, 19-inch wheels, carbon-fiber exterior accents, and the sportiest appearance and driving character in the lineup. It’s the right pick if you care most about speed and style.

Safety-package note: adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and the Around View Monitor are not standard on the base Pure trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 INFINITI Q50?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 24.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 320 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.37% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,590, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 INFINITI Q50's resale value?

The current average of $20,590 sits slightly below last year's $24,328.

That decline suggests the Q50 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you purchase near the current average or below, you may have less downside left than a buyer who paid closer to original-market pricing. The model’s age and mixed reputation for value can still limit upside, so condition and trim matter a lot when you eventually resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 INFINITI Q50 safe?

The 2021 INFINITI Q50 received top “Good” scores in all Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash tests, but “Average” and “Marginal” ratings for headlights.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking are standard, but you have to move up from the base Pure trim to the Luxe trim to get adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and the Around View Monitor 360-degree camera system. Models with Direct Adaptive Steering also get Active Lane Control.

The headlight ratings are the main caveat, so you should pay close attention to lighting equipment and trim level when you shop.

Should I buy a 2021 INFINITI Q50 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 24.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 model adds a new Sensory trim level, more driver-assist tech, and a built-in WiFi hotspot.

The bottom line: The 2021 Q50 makes sense if you want a stylish, performance-oriented luxury sedan and you can find a clean, well-priced example. If you’re more price-sensitive, a lower-mileage or better-equipped nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2021 is the one to target when you want the updated feature set and a softer used-market price.
