Used 2021 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearCincinnati, OH

How much does the 2021 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 4.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 851 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 5/5, and our experts give it 7/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the Ridgeline’s comfort, ride quality, smooth driving experience, spacious interior, and innovative truck bed and cargo space. Those themes line up with the overview’s focus on a midsize crew cab pickup that blends truck utility with everyday usability and a more polished driving feel.

The main trade-offs are its lack of alternate bed or cab configurations and its limited towing and payload capacities. Even so, the Ridgeline’s use case is clear: you’re getting a stylish, comfortable pickup that works especially well as a daily driver rather than a maximum-capability truck.

Good and great deals account for 32.8% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as comfortable, smooth, and impressive in everyday use, with language that points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that it is the best daily driver in its segment and highlights its utility, cab room, and on-pavement driving dynamics as strengths you can count on.

Honda also includes a broad standard safety package, and the truck’s construction is designed around crashworthiness standards. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic dependability and more about whether the truck’s limited capability matches how you plan to use it.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Honda Ridgeline?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free listings are not the same as problem-free ownership. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the truck’s condition, especially if you want a clean example with the features and usability that make this model appealing. Focus on how well the truck has been maintained and whether its equipment matches your needs.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport trim is the only one with cloth seats, and it is the most basic version in the lineup. Higher trims add more comfort and convenience equipment, and the HPD Package can be added to any version.
• Powertrain: Every Ridgeline uses a 280-horsepower V6 with a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard torque-vectoring all-wheel drive. It also includes Snow, Sand, and Mud drive settings, but it is not built for serious rock-crawling.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and lane-centering assistance. Blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning is standard on all but the Sport, and top trims add automatic high-beam headlights.
• Infotainment: Every Ridgeline gets an 8-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a seven-speaker sound system, text-messaging capability, basic HondaLink connected services, and USB charging ports. Higher trims add SiriusXM, HD Radio, navigation, voice recognition, traffic information, a premium sound system, and wireless smartphone charging.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-economy figure is stated in the provided data.

Which 2021 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2021 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Ridgeline formula with the standard V6, all-wheel drive, 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Honda Sensing. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model, but it also has the fewest comfort and convenience upgrades.
• RTL: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it moves you up from the base trim while keeping the Ridgeline’s core strengths intact. It is the better pick if you want a more polished daily driver without jumping all the way to the top of the range.
• RTL-E: This trim adds more of the convenience and tech upgrades that make the Ridgeline feel more premium. It suits you if you want a more fully equipped truck and are willing to pay for it.
• Black Edition: This is the range-topping choice for shoppers who want the most upscale presentation and the fullest equipment set. It is the trim to choose if you want the most premium version of the Ridgeline.

Blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning is standard on all but the Sport, and top trims include automatic high-beam headlights.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Honda Ridgeline?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it rewards comparison shopping and quick action on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 851 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.86% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,165, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $27,392 sits slightly below last year's $28,791.

That price movement suggests the Ridgeline has become a bit more buyer-friendly in the near term, which can help you if you plan to sell later and want to buy at a softer point in the cycle. A lower current average can also make it easier for future sellers to attract attention if the truck is well kept and priced competitively.

Because the market has already moved down from last year, your resale outcome will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the truck’s equipment matches shopper demand. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2021 Honda Ridgeline does not have new crash-test results in the provided data.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on every Ridgeline and includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and lane-centering assistance. The truck also has a multi-angle reversing camera, while blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning is standard on all but the Sport, and automatic high-beam headlights are reserved for the top trims.

One caveat is that the adaptive cruise control can react too aggressively in some traffic situations, so you should not assume the driver-assistance tech is flawless. If safety equipment matters most to you, pay close attention to trim level, because the Sport misses some of the standard blind-spot and rear cross-traffic features found higher up the range.

Should I buy a 2021 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a more convincing truck look while keeping the Ridgeline’s everyday usability.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $25,785, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $27,392 average.
• It emphasizes comfort and better driving dynamics over maximum capability.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $29,444, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $27,392 average.
• It carries over the refined, crossover-like ride with essentially unchanged 2021 updates.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and the refreshed 2021 look, the 2021 is the primary pick. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2020 is the better value play, while the 2022 makes sense only if you find a compelling example and want to spend more for a newer model year.
