Used 2021 Ford Bronco Sport for Sale near Connecticut

How much does the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport cost?

Prices have softened 10.50% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,248 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport a good car?

Generally — the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport earns a 4.15/5 from owners and a 7.33/10 from experts. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Cost effectiveness.

Owners repeatedly praise its style, good fuel economy, and off-road capabilities, and the overview also points to its lively personality, handling, and technology as key strengths. The main trade-offs are the cheap-feeling interior materials, a small back seat, and an annoying Auto-Stop feature.

That mix makes the Bronco Sport a strong fit if you want a compact two-row crossover that feels more adventurous than most daily drivers. It also lands in a market where 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which helps if you’re shopping carefully.

Is the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport reliable?

Owners rate it 4.15/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction. The owner summary also points to a dependable, trouble-free feel for many drivers, with some saying it’s a vehicle they can count on for adventurous driving and everyday use.

The expert drive notes that it has good manners on pavement and a capable, drama-free feel off-road, which supports the idea that it should be easy to live with over time. Ford also includes a broad safety suite across the lineup, which can help reduce ownership stress.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright mechanical drama and more about whether the previous owner tolerated the cabin-quality compromises and feature quirks.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Ford Bronco Sport?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper history review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on interior condition, back-seat usability, and any signs that the Auto-Stop system or other electronics have been a nuisance. It’s also worth confirming that the vehicle’s equipment matches the trim level you think you’re buying.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Base model is the most stripped-down version, while higher trims add more comfort and convenience. The cabin steps up from cloth seats to leather-trimmed, heated sport-contour bucket seats and then to Navy Pier Leather power front seats on the First Edition, so feature gaps are most obvious at the bottom of the range.
• Powertrain: Base, Big Bend, and Outer Banks use a 1.5-liter EcoBoost turbocharged three-cylinder with 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. Badlands and First Edition use a 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder with 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque, and the stronger engine is paired with more off-road-oriented hardware.
• Safety package: Every trim comes standard with Ford Co-Pilot360, which includes pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, forward collision warning and dynamic brake support, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, auto high-beam headlamps, and a reversing camera. Co-Pilot360 Assist+ is available on all trims except Base, and road-sign recognition is not available on Big Bend.
• Infotainment: The Bronco Sport uses an 8-inch touchscreen with SYNC 3, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Ford+Alexa and SiriusXM are available, FordConnect with 4G LTE WiFi hotspot is standard, and the 6.5-inch digital instrument panel appears on Outer Banks and above.
• Fuel efficiency: Owners praise the fuel economy, and the 1.5-liter setup is the efficiency-oriented choice relative to the 2.0-liter models.

Which 2021 Ford Bronco Sport trim should I buy?

The 2021 Ford Bronco Sport is offered in 5 trim levels: Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, Badlands, and First Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the least expensive way into the Bronco Sport, but it also leaves out some convenience features that appear higher up the range. It makes sense if you want the core design, standard safety suite, and the lowest entry price.
• Big Bend: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday usability without jumping into the pricier off-road-focused models. It keeps the 1.5-liter engine but gives you a more rounded ownership experience.
• Outer Banks: This trim leans more toward comfort and convenience, with upgraded interior touches and more available tech. It’s a good fit if you want the Bronco Sport look with a more polished daily-driver feel.
• Badlands: This is the better choice if you want the stronger 2.0-liter engine and the more capable off-road hardware. It adds the advanced 4x4 system, twin-clutch rear-drive unit, all-terrain tires, seven G.O.A.T. modes, Trail Control, and metal bash plates.
• First Edition: This is the most fully equipped version and bundles nearly everything Ford offered for the model year. It’s the right pick if you want the most complete Bronco Sport package and don’t mind paying for it.

Ford Co-Pilot360 comes standard on every trim, while Co-Pilot360 Assist+ is available on all trims except Base.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Ford Bronco Sport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,248 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.50% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,107, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport's resale value?

The current average of $20,107 sits slightly below last year's $22,465.

That decline suggests the market has cooled, which can work in your favor as a buyer but may pressure resale returns if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at the current average or below, you’re starting from a more favorable price base than a seller would have seen a year ago.

The good news for future resale is that the Bronco Sport has strong owner satisfaction and a distinctive personality that helps it stand out in a crowded segment. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.15/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport safe?

The 2021 Ford Bronco Sport comes standard with Ford Co-Pilot360, which includes pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, forward collision warning and dynamic brake support, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, auto high-beam headlamps, and a reversing camera.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ is available on all trims except Base, and it adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centering, evasive steering assist, voice-activated touchscreen navigation with pinch-to-zoom capability, SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link, and road-sign recognition, though that last feature is not available on Big Bend. Trailer sway control is also included with the available tow package.

Should I buy a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.15/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 model’s standout appeal is its lively, capable, and attractive personality for on- and off-pavement adventures.

The bottom line: If you want the Bronco Sport’s original formula and you’re seeing a clean, fairly priced example, the 2021 is a sensible buy. If you’re especially price-sensitive, focus on the listings that sit near the low end of the range and compare them carefully against later model years before you commit.
