Used 2021 Dodge Charger for Sale nearKansas City, MO

How much does the 2021 Dodge Charger cost?

Prices have softened 5.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,961 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Dodge Charger a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Dodge Charger earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its power and performance, its fun-to-drive muscle-car character, and the way it still works as a practical daily driver. The roomy interior also comes up often, especially for shoppers who want family-friendly space without giving up personality.

The main trade-offs are the higher price tag on stronger versions and some outdated-feeling interior features. That said, if you want a four-door muscle car that blends speed with everyday usability, the Charger fits that brief well.

Only 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is selective rather than flooded with bargains.

Is the 2021 Dodge Charger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a car that feels dependable, with owners highlighting its reliability alongside its speed and everyday usefulness. The expert evaluation also describes it as a car that can be managed smoothly in normal driving, even when it has serious performance on tap.

The Charger’s broad range of powertrains means long-term ownership risk depends heavily on the version you choose, with higher-output models likely to bring higher running costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Dodge Charger?

At 64.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of body panels, paint consistency, and signs of prior repair. Because the Charger can be bought in many performance levels, it also makes sense to focus on how the specific car was used and maintained.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup spans Charger SXT, Charger SXT AWD, Charger GT, Charger GT AWD, Charger R/T, Charger Scat Pack, Charger Scat Pack Widebody, Charger SRT Hellcat, and Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye. The base SXT comes with 17-inch wheels, while higher trims add more aggressive styling, wider-body availability, and more premium cabin materials.
• Powertrain: The SXT and GT use a 3.6-liter V6 with up to 300 horsepower and 264 pound-feet of torque. The R/T uses a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with 370 hp and 395 lb-ft, the Scat Pack uses a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 with 485 hp and 475 lb-ft, the SRT Hellcat uses a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 with 717 hp and 650 lb-ft, and the Redeye uses a high-output supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 with 797 hp and 707 lb-ft.
• Safety package: Every new Charger comes standard with brake assist, electronic stability control, hill start assist, rear park assist, rain brake support, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and automatic headlights are available in some, but not all models.
• Infotainment: Standard equipment includes a 7-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, satellite radio, four USB ports, a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, and a six-speaker audio system. An 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation, WiFi hotspot, and upgraded audio systems are available.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.6-liter V6 is the most fuel-efficient choice, and the SRT Hellcat Redeye is rated at 12 mpg city, 21 mpg highway, and 15 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Dodge Charger trim should I buy?

The 2021 Dodge Charger is offered in 9 trim levels: Charger SXT, Charger SXT AWD, Charger GT, Charger GT AWD, Charger R/T, Charger Scat Pack, Charger Scat Pack Widebody, Charger SRT Hellcat, Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye.

Here's the short version:

• Charger SXT: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Charger’s core personality at the lowest price. It’s the best-value choice if you want the look, space, and everyday usability without paying for extra horsepower.
• Charger SXT AWD: Choose this if you want the same basic setup as the SXT but with all-wheel drive for added traction.
• Charger GT: This is the better pick if you want a little more style and presence than the SXT while staying in the V6 range.
• Charger GT AWD: This is the right call if you want the GT’s added polish with all-wheel drive.
• Charger R/T: This is the first trim that really leans into V8 muscle, with a 5.7-liter HEMI and a much stronger performance character.
• Charger Scat Pack: This is the sweet spot for buyers who want serious performance, thanks to the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 and 485 horsepower.
• Charger Scat Pack Widebody: Pick this if you want the Scat Pack formula with a more aggressive stance and wider-body presence.
• Charger SRT Hellcat: This is for shoppers who want extreme straight-line performance and are willing to pay for it.
• Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye: This is the top-performance choice, with the most power in the lineup and the most track-focused personality.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, but several driver-assistance features remain optional or trim-dependent.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Dodge Charger?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should shop carefully and move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,961 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.73% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,538, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Dodge Charger's resale value?

The current average of $26,538 sits slightly below last year's $28,152.

That downward move suggests the market has already adjusted some of the Charger’s value, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means resale will likely depend heavily on trim, condition, mileage, and how desirable the specific powertrain is.

Higher-performance versions may hold attention from enthusiasts, but the broader market still rewards clean history and strong presentation. If you maintain the car well and keep documentation, you’ll be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Dodge Charger safe?

The 2021 Dodge Charger earns a four-star overall safety rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every new Charger comes standard with brake assist, electronic stability control, hill start assist, rear park assist, rain brake support, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and automatic headlights are available in some, but not all models.

The main caveat is that the 2021 model itself wasn’t crash-tested by IIHS, and the structurally similar 2020 model received mostly Good ratings but Poor marks for headlights.

Should I buy a 2021 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 27.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 adds a new track-ready variant that pushes the Hellcat V8 further.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $23,220, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $26,538 average.
• It blends performance-car personality with everyday sedan practicality.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $29,035, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $26,538 average.
• It adds easy-to-use technology and surprising cornering ability in Widebody form.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of price movement, inventory, and the 2021-specific track-ready update, this year makes sense. If your priority is saving money, the 2020 is the better value path; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling setup, the 2022 is the alternative to compare.
